Today me and 11 other high schoolers had the opportunity to work with Erin Holliday in creating the pieces of her kinetic mobile that will hang in the Olathe Community Center. We took two pieces of cut acrylic and put india ink, tissue paper, and acrylic glue between them and squished them together. The clips around the pieces are to keep them together and will be removed in a few days. Happy Friday The 13th!👻🎃😼Today’s Monster Model is inspired by @aitor_throup giant marionette models used in the fashion installation runway piece titled The Rite of Spring / Summer / Autumn / Winter. This collection used giant puppets to model the garments instead of models. I was inspired to make an illustration of the cool and unsettling puppets for today’s monster model, fashioning it after Jason Voorhees from “Friday The 13th”.
