Art Strikes Again - Tumblr Posts

okay so theres this little art comp at my school and the theme is "for the love of art" and it has to be no bigger than A3

So, i was like, "okay, what can i do that fits the theme and is good enough to beat everyone else and win this thing for the third year in a row?" (im a sore loser when it comes to this stuff) and BAM i got a wave of motivation that i haven't had in ages and pulled this out of my ass in the span of about 9 hours over two days.

here it is :D

Its A3 in size and i used charcoal with prisma colour pencils and Winsor & Newton's designer titanium white gouache :)

BUT Y'ALL WHEN I TELL YOU I'M NEVER DOING CHARCOAL AGAIN (or at least for a very long time) BECAUSE OF THE MESS IT MADE- GOOD LORD I JUST SPENT THREE HOURS CLEANING MY ROOM BECAUSE OF THE MESS THIS PIECE MADE AAA

i'd better win this fucking thing.

Honestly I am treasuring it, I so wish I had a physical copy because I would hang it up in my room and look at it all the timeeee. For now it’ll have to do as a wallpaper on my laptop 🤷‍♀️

All the drawings you have done are like pieces of gold to me and I will treat them that way.

Pinterest is our saviour honestly. Even if it does take a good long while sometimes to find a reference that’s decent 😭 I feel you on that account (refs are so hard to come by sometimes, especially if you KNOW what you want, but can’t find it or put it onto paper the way you have it in your mind ughhh)

Trust girl, ask my friends if there are any doubts (artemis specifically) because I can assure you that headcanon is canon- I am comfortable 😂🤷‍♀️ and I’m always totally chill with being everyone’s pillow 😌😂

I treasure our relationship so much, and its just amazing to me how much I can do that with someone I’ve never met in person. Its just a feeling that I can’t explain at this point, I never thought an emotional connection could be formed like how ours has. All the little things we do and obsess over, and every day that we’ve talked has added to feeling like a life time of knowing you.

I am someone who believes in destiny and fate to an extent, and I have no doubt we were meant to meet eventually. Now I know you, I can’t continue on without you in my life either, it just wouldn't be the same
