I'm posting two D&D fanfictions with a similar start and a different ending, and I'm so happy!

It was in this one that I got my first bookmark, but in this one I got my first kudo.

I love my readers so much! They aren't many, but knowing they like my writing makes me so happy!

I'm going through some difficult times in my life involving loss of loved ones and judicial battles, but knowing someone out there enjoys what I do give me a lot of joy and plenty of motivation to keep writing even if the world is falling down.

I remember a post from an ao3 writer about how they took long to update their fanfic because their house burned down, and I totally relate to that. My life can be on fire, but my fics? Updating them at least every two weeks brings some semblance of normality, and receiving feedback from my precious readers is a source of serotonin!

I've gotten to a point where I'm only getting into fandoms so I can get my hands on more smutty fanfiction on ao3.

Censorship will not solve a single problem. Putting ban and restrictions on AO3 will drive creators away. You won’t be making your platform look appealing to outsiders. You’re destroying your own platform by driving the majority of your creators away.

The exact same thing happened to fanfiction.net and Tumblr. So many people quit. AO3 is one of the very few platforms creators have.

Censorship does not solve any problem. It does harm to creators.

Liking this doesn’t help either. Reblog so more people can see

AO3 needs a dark mode option.
