Anti Aizawa - Tumblr Posts

I have seen a lot critical takes from Aizawa recently, and these (along with watching certain scenes over again) helped me cement the realization that I don’t like canon Aizawa all that much. He is certainly a competent hero, but an abysmal teacher ( again, as opposed to how I’ve seen him written in some stories where he actually is a good teacher and parental figure) with the occasional bit of him being a mouthpiece for certain hotheaded, egotistical characters. I don’t really have anything to add that has been said, and this post really isn’t about that, but to ask something else and to allow others to share their opinion.

Aizawa is essentially the first person when people think of the teachers at U.A, for the obvious reason that he teaches Midoriya and the rest of 1-A.

If given the opportunity, would you change that?

Would you have Aizawa strictly become an underground hero, making small appearances here and there (such as the raid against Overhaul marking his debut) and having someone else be 1-A’s homeroom teacher, such as Present Mic and Midnight (characters we are a bit more familiar with as well)? Or have All Might take a more prominent role in teaching? Is there one of the more ensemble teachers that you personally think has more potential of leading 1-A, like Ectoplasm, Snipe, Thirteen? Or would you try to have another pro hero come in teach 1-A, such as Gran Torino, Fat Gum or Gang Orca?

Or would you keep Aizawa, and just have him not be so blatantly hypocritical and come off as uncaring and lazy? And do you have your own improved take on him?

I am honestly curious.
