One thing that isn’t really talked about much is the midnights photo shoot. I think you have to truly relate to understand how impactful and iconic this photo shoot is. Me personally, I am a very melancholic person most of the time. It’s a small line from Lavender Haze but “and you don’t really read into my melancholia” is a lyric that resonates with the photos as a whole. And I think that you have to understand those feelings on a personal level to completely grasp the photos and the midnights era itself.

But to me this is why the midnights era will always hold a special place in my heart. I truly felt seen by this era. I remember seeing it for the first time and I was like “hah she’s me fr” but now I understand it on a deep and personal level.
