Ok but the juxtaposition of the league’s song including women whose ancestry is non-USAmerican, of the league literally going out of their way to bring Canadians and not going out of their way but accepting a woman from Cuba …. And actively telling Max she isn’t American enough

this is really interesting! and important i wonder what caused the shift? i know it must have happened i stopped being active on my old blog around that time maybe it has something to do with content curation? a lot of old school fandom (esp. content creation in stuff like anime fandoms) got labeled as /cringe/ and i think there was an increase in what i would refer to as fanwork snobbery not meant to be insulting just an observation whooo boy essay in the tags sorry 😓 anyways reblog peoples' shit
