Twitter thread by Craig Mokhiber (@CraigMokhiber)
The World Court has just rejected all Israeli, US & western objections, ruled that the Israeli occupation of Gaza & the West Bank, including East Jerusalem (and all settlements), is entirely unlawful & declares Israel is committing racial segregation/ apartheid in the OPT.

Importantly, they also ruled that the Oslo agreements do not and cannot trump the obligations of international law, which protect the rights of the Palestinian people.

And it rules that Israel must Evacuate all settlers, dismantle settlements and the wall, provide full reparations to Palestinian victims, and allow all Palestinians who were forced out to return.

All states and international organizations must end any aid or assistance to the occupation and must take action to ensure that Israel complies and ends the occupation.

All decisions had overwhelming support across the court. As usual in Israel cases, Judge Sebutinde voted against every decision (sometimes joined by Abraham (France) and Aurescu (Romania)).

This is an historic decision, codifying what has long been known in the international legal community, but giving further support to the struggle for Palestinian liberation & providing another stepping stone in the path toward ending apartheid, colonialism & genocide in Palestine
Quoted Tweet by Saad
This biggest impact of ICJ ruling is that since Gaza has been defined as occupied territory, it means Israel DOES NOT have a right to self defense from any groups in Gaza.
Occupying powers do not have right to self defense from occupied people.

This ruling is non-binding (not sure how it would be enforced even if it was considering Israel's chief protector is the U.S., which doesn't recognise the International Criminal Court and keeps trying to punish it for this kind of thing), but there's support for it across the board except from the US and its new vassal state, the UK. The Tory government has backed the US in ignoring every ICJ ruling on Palestine thus far and Starmer has been avoiding the issue but reinstated funding for UNRWA a few hours after the latest one. Starmer is a spineless Zionist maggot and as much of a US shill has the Tories however, so which way his government tips will probably depends on the strength of the US's reaction.

If you still want to vote for that death-worshipping lurching corpse in November and maybe claim back some of the voters who've decided they can't endorse this bloodthirsty maniac, now is the time to take to the streets and threaten to withhold your vote unless he fucking complies. Don't worry, the same amount of you will vote for him anyway since genocide is not a red line for you, but the DNC is jumpy enough now that they might want to err on the side of caution. Please try and stop your precious democracy from massacring any more children, even if only to save your own skins.

Instead of putting pressure for 1 issue for the U.S., turn it into a pincer attack. Target their allyship with UAE and target their financing of the zionist occupation. This cannot continue.
