His homeland was populated by a great many variety of aliens, some of which had been resorting to what were interpreted as nefarious acts of terrorism. Over time, thanks to those groups, it was come to realize that the world they had known was nothing more than an enormous spacecraft built by a race of precursors, them having long since gone extinct, leaving the living cargo alone to develop a medieval-esque culture. After hailing for assistance, the population of the ship was rescued and assimilated into modern space-faring society as best as it was able to. Gadjit, having had a taste of adventure and feeling that the entire galaxy had been hidden from him for his entire life, set out for the stars to begin his own age of exploration. After all, space may long since have been explored, but it was all still new to him!
