Alan Rickman - Tumblr Posts

Sometimes I wonder if he still knows that we still love him that for us his memory will never leave our hearts, that at the end of the day those of us who admire him hope that everything was a lie and that he is only recording a movie or something from the theater, at the end of the day our love and admiration will be in it.

happy birthday Alan we continue to love you like the first day and it will be forever

Tonight I write with him in mind. A great man he was and even though he left this world, we will never stop admiring or loving him.

Happy birthday to the best person that could have been on this earth that even though he is no longer with us his memory will always be present and with this love that we have for you we will tell you that you will always be in our hearts.

How can you not love Snape when Alan is a great man and it is impossible not to admire him?
NEED IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK 💥💥💥
The sole idea of the tv show fills me with horror
I'm afraid they'll make Snape a bidimensional character
I'm afraid he'll get no justice
I'm afraid we will be seen as freaks once again
I'm afraid they'll deminish his being bullied just like we saw our being bullied being deminished
I'm afraid they'll make him a laughing stock
I'm afraid they'll ruin Alan Rickman's legacy
He worked so hard on Snape WHILE BATTLING CANCER and always defended him
Loved him from day one
I'm afraid I'm so scared

2016, a summary.
As a kid Snape was always my favorite so i drew him :p

I’m really struggling to explain how I feel this evening. Alan Rickman was quite simply my idol. Growing up, I memorised all the words to his films, spent hours downloading obscure clips on a creaky old dial-up internet connection, read every article, tracked down his entire back catalogue on DVD. The Chap has always joked that Rickman was the first man in my life.
I think I’m mourning someone I never actually knew, and it’s the strangest feeling. I never met him, not really. I once bumped into him (actually bumped into him, ever observant, me) outside the Donmar Warehouse. I babbled incoherently at him and asked to shake his hand. Graciously, kindly, as though he hadn’t already been stopped at least fifty times that morning by twits like me, he held out his hand.
As well as being a truly great actor, he seemed to be a real gentleman. He believed that politics mattered. He knew that theatre and film could, maybe should, change the world. He taught me so much, without ever knowing. And I am so grateful to him.

“I’m pissed off is what I am!”
Alan Rickman as the Metatron. Based on my favourite behind-the-scenes photo from the set of Dogma.
He looks a little more angry than I intended ... but then I’m pretty angry too. Cancer can just sod right off.
This is my first proper(ish) attempt at digital drawing. I can’t think of a more fitting subject than my hero.

“Shall we continue tomorrow?”
“No, for I must away.”
“Away? Where?”
“That I cannot tell you. It is a secret.”
Alan Rickman as Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility (1995).
(Second tentative attempt at a proper digital drawing, using a Wacom tablet and Autodesk Sketchbook.)

I’m not fond of doing these types of post, for me they sort of seemed less like homages and more like opportunism, but I can’t simply let by the death of someone that made such a big part of something that was my whole childhood and teenage years. RIP Alan Rickman.
