So in Reflections arc of the comics, it is established that Celestia (lives in original MLP verse) and Good King Sombra (lives in Mirror verse) are in love with each other.

But they must never meet because it will cause paradoxes and destroy all worlds. They promise that they will still love each other even though they are universes apart. Always.
