—And that’s where the magic happened.

—Maybe it helped that he was already interested in you long before meeting you in person, or maybe not.

—Anyway.

—Itachi wasn’t foolish; he had already heard about you before, but seeing you up close, he could understand why so many people talked about you.

—When they arrived in Konoha and he had the chance, he thanked you for taking care of him.

—It was when you reassured him saying there was no problem that he fell.

—He fell HARD for you.

—For some reason, Itachi tries to find more information about you, you know, the usual: parents, friends, likes, secrets, though he wouldn’t go as far as stalking you (or maybe he would, who knows).

—In love and being teased by Shisui about it, who encourages him to confess.

—Sasuke joins in too for some reason (little brat)

“You should go and confess to her or at least ask her out, you know? You finally look interested and happy with someone, and you don’t look so bitter anymore-”

—You two almost collided if it weren't for Itachi's good reflexes.

—Despite his nervousness, he manages to invite you to eat (please say yes, the poor guy's heart is about to burst).

—To his good fortune, you say yes (he swore his soul left and returned to his body).

—Slowly you two begin to spend more time together.

—Whether it's for missions or their unexpected encounters to go out to eat.

—Itachi starts suggesting the idea of training together.

—Gradually realizing that his little crush turned into something big when he really gets to know you for who you are.

—Constantly trying to find signs that maybe you feel the same way about him.

—Itachi realizing that maybe he's not as careful as he thinks he is when his mother and father find out about his crush.

—It wasn't until he found out that Shisui and Sasuke spilled the beans to his mother and his mother to his father.

—He swears he wants to disappear at the happy and constant questions and teasing from his mother about his crush in front of his father’s amused gaze.

—Now his family wants to meet you, ay.

—He doesn't want to make you uncomfortable.

—He really doesn't want to.

—Especially making you think that he’s just another one of those admirers who don't see beyond your looks.

—*sigh* If only instead of constantly thinking about how beautiful you look, he noticed how you look at him and how your eyes shine, he would stop thinking that he’s going to make you uncomfortable.

—All this is a time bomb though!

how do you envision itachi

*dreamy sigh* to me itachi is the epitome of perfect. he’s such a passionate lover, the sweetest person to his friends and family. a tall, lanky man. deep voiced, strong face. the longest black hair with voluptuous volume. has it mullet style. on his free time he paints cs i just believe he has it in him. a very creative mind and has to get it out somehow. househusband material so best believe he cooks and cleans. his actual career is being a professor who teaches psychology since he’s so damn smart. a classic mannnn so he drives the newest bmw, wears slacks and button downs, sometimes suits. on his days off, especially when he’s hanging out with you, he wears muscle tanks, plain tees, jeans and cowboy boots lol. sasuke tries to get him to change his style by buying him sneakers or vans and converses. they stay in the box. not many tats but def a few one his arms patchwork style. wears rings. treats you like a princess bc are we surprised ???? <3

About Uchiha Izumi

Since the whole Uchiha clan is alive and well in Flip The Coin, I decided to feature her, the only sensible Uchiha around. Most of the things I said about Izumi in chapter 5 are canon (expect like she’s maybe not the youngest sharingan user? She just awoke it younger than Itachi and I made that leap cause she deserves it) from fillers and novels, but I’m not actually familiar with it, I’ve just read the wikia. And MY but what a painful read. I mean I’m used to the Naruto girls being treated like garbage, but this was so much worse.

“Believing that ending her life first would quell his inner doubts, [Itachi] proceeded to kill her and her mother first. As he lured her mother away, Itachi approached Izumi and placed her in an extremely powerful Tsukuyomi where she lived the entirety of her life in 0.00000000001 seconds. In her dream, she became a chūnin, retired from shinobi life to become Itachi’s wife and raise their children, and lived to become eighty years old before dying of old age alongside Itachi. Because her mind was departed from reality in such a manner, Izumi collapsed into Itachi’s arms dying. Izumi thanked Itachi for giving her the life she wanted with him, even if it was a dream, and Itachi thanked her for loving him as she passed away.”

“Izumi was deeply in love with Itachi, so much so that she accepted Itachi’s decision to end her life for the sake of the village, and was grateful to be given the life she wanted with him: growing old and having kids together, even if it was only a genjutsu.” (she was like, 14)

I had to read this with my own two eyes and now so have you. What the fuck. I mean really, what the fuck. And this happened like, late in the manga. REALLY late. Late enough that there had been plenty of butchered female characters in Naruto before and plenty of criticism about it. So how. Why. Why would they do that. Did no one stop to think that maybe this was a terrible idea? The worst thing in that they actually tried to sell this as… tragically romantic? Somehow? My eyes are bleeding.

So it is highly probable (not so say absolutely certain) that her relationship with Itachi won’t get romantic in that fic. He didn’t actually do any of that in there but… Like I can’t do that to her. I can’t. They’ll stay friends though and she’ll help pull his head out of his ass. Hopefully.
