Two months later

“No Gray you can’t tell Loco.”

“But why not?” He whined like a little child. I was so tempted to hang up this FaceTime call on him.He knew exactly why we couldn’t tell Loco. I love the guy.He has become like a brother but he couldn’t keep a secret at all.He would open his mouth a ruin my damn plan.

Rolling my eyes at Gray I ate another grape.“You know that man cannot keep a secret Sunghwa. He’ll go running his mouth.”

It was his turn to roll his eyes at me.He knew I was right so he immediately changed the topic.“When do you get here?”

“The week before Christmas. I have some final documents to sign and then I’ll be free.Are you picking me up?” I asked him.

“If I’m not busy that day I will but if not I’ll send someone.” He replied before telling me he had to go because his next session was about to start.We exchanged goodbyes and I settled back into my couch.

It was only 7pm here which meant it was 10am tomorrow in Seoul and his day had already began while mine was just ending.It also meant that Jay would be calling or texting soon.If someone had told me back in August that I’d be as close to Gray as I was now I would have laughed.Here I am five months later with amazing new friends and a boyfriend. I didn’t think I’d be able to get close to a man after Yashel but here I am like a giddy little school girl waiting for her crush to call.

I didn’t think we’d be able to make a long distance relationship work but two months in and we’re doing fine. I still have no idea how he managed to get six dozen roses into my house last month but he was making it really hard not to fall head over heels for him.

My phone dinged off and my attention immediately diverted to the screen. I laughed at his name. I didn’t mean to put it as that but it kinda stuck since I couldn’t think of anything else.

Kimchi 😍: stuck in a meeting..won’t be able to call you at lunch 😩. I miss you 😘.

I replied then quickly snapped a picture and sent it.

I smiled at his messages as I plugged my phone into the charger. I don’t know how this plan is going to go but I really hope this sacrifice is worth it for the both of us.

I could feel eyes on me as I looked at the text on my phone.

“If he smiles any wider he’ll rip his face.” I heard Gray mumble causing the guys to laugh at me. I honestly didn’t care though I was happy and them clowning on me wasn’t going to change that.Looking up from my phone with my smile still in tact I looked at my coworkers,my family.

So far Gray and Loco were the only ones who knew I had a girlfriend.It’s not that I didn’t want to tell the others I just wanted them to meet her first before I told them the reason I’d been smiling so much lately.

It didn’t feel like we were on different sides of the world. I don’t know if we’re in that ‘honeymoon’ phase that everyone talks about but right now I like what we have.

Cha Cha,Wegun and Simon all looked at me while Gray and Loco looked bored.Cha Cha and I were going over the plans for the new project we’re working on whereas I had many other meetings to attend today with the others.

“You know Bora’s ass is out here telling people you cheated on her right?” Simon said as he sat across from me.

“Let her man I’m way too busy and happy to go dealing with her bullshit. I cut her off since way back in August and it’s like she been stalking my ass ever since.She showed up at the Air bnb we rented in Cali when we went to shoot the video. I still have no clue how she knew where I was.”

Before Simon could reply I excused myself to the bathroom. I really needed to pee with the amount of water I’d been consuming to calm myself down.When I exited I saw Simon with my phone in his hand and a smile on his face.

“Who’s Lady Jae with a crown and heart eyes?” He enquired as I took my seat. I had changed her name from Quesadilla earlier.Lady Jae had quite the ring to it but how the fuck did he get into my phone.

“It rung while you were in the bathroom so I answered but the person hung up as soon as I did.” He replied sliding my phone back to me and holding his hands up in surrender.It was a bit after 9pm here so I knew her day was just starting and it had become our routine.If we texted throughout the day we at least got one phone call in either when my day was getting started and hers was ending or vice versa.We usually FaceTime so I know Simon saw a little more than he’s letting on.

“I’m going to out on a whim here and say she’s the reason you just stare into space and smile like the joker?” Simon teased. I swear Loco has no cover for his mouth.“And no Loco didn’t tell me a thing.For the first time he kept his trap shut.”

“How much did you see?”

“Enough to know that you took your own advice and finally got down with the swirl."He laughed.It was no secret that Simon loved women especially those with color.Simon had dated a couple Korean girls in the past but once he got a taste of a different flavor he savored it.There weren’t many colored women in Korea so when he got one he held on for awhile.Don’t take this as me saying Simon was a fuckboy,I don’t think at our age we could be considered that but he liked experiencing new things and right now it just happens to be women since his breakup he says he hasn’t found anyone who makes him feel anything more than lust.

His phone dinged in his pocket and he pulled it out.Tapping on the screen rapidly a shit eating grin formed on his face.One I knew all too well.Dismissing him with my hands as he looked at me I laughed at how quickly he bolted out his seat and through the door.

Sighing I rocked back in my seat and scrolled through my recents tapping on Leya’s name.It rung a couple times before her half dressed body appeared on the screen.

"As much as I love the view right now I’d love to see my girlfriend’s face.” She shuffled around before she set it down.She sat doing her hair from what I could see.She looked at me in between making small talk and I didn’t mind one bit.She slipped her shirt on and her glasses before she plopped down on her bed propping her face up with her hands and looking at me.

“I miss you..” she said with a pout.“..why is New Years so far away.”

“It’s only three weeks away ma.It’ll fly by in no time.Again I apologize about Simon.” I replied yawning slightly.

“Baby you’re tired and it’s fine.He didn’t see anything he’s not supposed too.”

“Did you cut off your hair?” I asked noticing the difference and trying to avoid the statement. I was tired but I wanted to talk to her.

She rolled her eyes at me.“ No I didn’t.It’s a wig and don’t go trying to change the subject Jaebum.”

“I’m a little tired but I want to talk to you so let me be a good boyfriend.”

I got up and grabbed my keys and my bag heading out my office and locking up.Security locks up after I leave so I took the elevator down to the lobby. The guard let me out locking up behind me as I made my way to my car.

“Babe I gotta go.Jas is here.Text me when you get home.Drive safely.” She blew me a kiss and winked. I did the same being all extra with mine just to see her smile before we hung up. I took a screenshot of her smiling just before we both said bye.

Thankfully there wasn’t much traffic so it didn’t take long for me to get home.Entering my house after parking I was greeted by my dogs.Making a mental note to walk them in the morning I put out some more food and water for them before heading up to my bedroom,texting Leya on the way. I didn’t even shower or change out of my clothes because as soon as my body hit the bed I knocked out.Three weeks and I’d have my girl here with me.

“Who’s Aquaman with a crown,heart eyes and the tongue out emoji?” Jas inquired while making the face.😝

I had no idea why she was always on my phone but her excuse was “yours takes better pictures”.We had the same damn brand of phone but Jas needed a new phone screen every other week so Ron told her no upgrades.

“Who you been fucking with and does your brother know about this?” She asked raising her eyebrows at me.

“Yes mother Ronald knows about this and I haven’t been fucking anyone.To answer your question he’s my boyfriend and I got bored with his name being saved as Kimchi.” I shrugged paying attention to my niece who was demanding my attention.

“Nobody ever tells me anything.What the fuck?” I laughed out loud because her daughter looked at her with her mouth open just as she cursed and as adorable as it was it was too damn funny.

“Wait is he the reason why you’re doing that thing?” I nodded.

“Are you sure this is what you want?”

“I’m sure.It hasn’t been long Jas but he makes me feel so alive. I know I sound like I’ve got it so bad but I really feel like he’s worth the sacrifice.” I finished.

“You’ve got that look.” She smiled as she reached for her daughter who was reaching out for her.What look was she talking about?

“What look?”

“The same look I get when I look at your brother.” She smiled.There is no way I was in love with Jay. I couldn’t be.Wasn’t it too soon for that? It’s only been two months. I couldn’t be in love.Could I?

The gentle warmth of his familiar body against mine stirs me.

“Good morning,” he murmurs into my neck, and I can feel the upturn of his lips as I giggle. His trail of kisses begin at my collarbone and travel at snail’s pace to my shoulder. “We should get up now,” he whispers, his breath scattering across my bare body.

“Shh…” The soft sounds of his breath and his movements are plenty noise. “I’m sleeping,” I whisper, voice too starved to find any greater volume. My fingers wander blindly to the sea of his dark brown hair. They are drowning instantly, lost in the choppy waves as his mouth sails over my body.

The quiet chuckle that escapes him makes me smile. He already knows I don’t want to leave our little paradise on this bed, tangled in each other. He urges, mumbling my name, kisses making their way further down. “Come on,” he grows impatient, fingers speeding, kneading, pleading, over the wine colored stains of my skin. He alone is the artist of this chaos, filling the space between my thighs with his touch.

I hum in response, though I can only pretend to be listening. Eyes still closed, I bathe in his motions.

His plush lips are against my bare chest now, his hands pressing into my hips. “Are you awake now?” My eyelids flutter to the velvet of his voice. The sound is husky, soaked in temptation. He surely knows how much it brings me to the night we’ve just had.

“Jin…” I speak his name: so permanent on lips, yet fleeting on my tongue. And so I slowly wake, as day is dawning, to fingertips and lips imploring. We are too well accustomed to this blue-tinged light of daybreak, but it’s not so bad with him wrapped around me like this.

The reader has always been this badass person, she didn’t care, or well that’s what everyone thought, her reputation is quick to crumble when she meets the new boy, idol of choice.
