Update: We Have Now Learned That The Mitochondria Is Not Only The Power House Of The Cell, But It Is

Update: We have now learned that the mitochondria is not only the power house of the cell, but it is actually the power house of cellular respiration! This was following the teacher making everyone do a bunch of burpees (for science reasons), talking about hockey for some reason, then (after) instantly realizing why everyone just uses ‘power house’ because the actually scientific descriptions for the mitochondria and its functions are just a confusing mouthful of words.

these names don't seem funny enough to be real accounts and I don't post anything interesting enough to have actual people want to follow me

Duolingo just asked me if I wanted to make an avatar. It seemed fun and cute so I did. When I was done it erased my profile image and I can't get it back. That is one of my only photos of my dead cat and now it is gone. There should have been a warning or something. I hate this so much it makes me just want to quit! Let me have my photo back and let me have an image for my profile!

Today in the last block of the day (french), my teacher noticed the person beside me had a horse mask on his desk. In exchange for a bunch of our in class currency, he had him wear the mask for the rest of the day (even when taking notes, talking, or walking around) and we had to refer to him as ‘le cheval’. he could only see through the nostrils of the horse, and he is the tallest kid in class at almost 6 feet tall/180cm and very skinny, so it was even funnier, or scarier if you happened to look le cheval head on while sitting or if short, especially as this kid was very good at french and ended the class with ‘le cheval est meure’ as he knew we had been searching up the french words for death, so even if the grammar was wrong, we would still understand.

I feel that I should mention that today another kid loudly announced that he was, in fact, a man, and that the teacher started the day will talking about the drugs he was on in surgery and that he would wake up and ask the doctor about the drugs just so that he could tell us

Today after school was probably one of the only times I’ve heard the fire alarm go off without it being a drill. Even though it wasn’t a drill, the few classmates still there and me were still calm and just packed up and left normally because we were so desensitised from the drills that we just did what we were actually supposed to do in a fire (we took our bags though instead of dropping everything and leaving). 

I had to use the washroom, so I was a bit annoyed of having to instantly leave the school, and I had to ride home on my scooter on really rough sidewalk which was fairly uncomfortable, so I didn’t stay to see whether or not the school was actually on fire. I did get to see all the teacher just waiting outside though, and one was sarcastically complaining about having to leave instead of working more and was joking about among us because they don’t know who pulled the alarm. I will check tomorrow to see if my school is burned down, and I sure hope it hasn’t.

BECOME A LIGMA!!!

It's time for YOU to get on that LIGMA GRINDSET!!1!

WAKE UP at a reasonable time so you are WELL RESTED but still have time in the day to BE PRODUCTIVE and do the things you want to do!

EAT a good breakfast, preferably NUTRITOUS but don't feel bad if you only have time for some thing quick! Eat what will make you FEEL GOOD and SATIATED until you can eat again!!!

If you take a shower in the morning, DO IT!!!1! Make the water a TEMPERATURE that is comfortable to you! DON'T FORGET to put some antiperspirant or deodorant on after so you can FEEL FRESH ALL DAY!!

WEAR CLOTHES that make you feel COMFORTABLE/GOOD, but are still APROPRIATE for the weather and what you plan on doing!!

If YOU GO TO WORK, school or another place during the day, pack your bag with anything you think you'll need! Bring a lunch and some snacks! Bring a water bottle!! Do you or your friends have a uterus? Pack some pads just in case! Going sports? Take a small first aid kit or at least some bandaids! Grab your phone charger!!! Maybe take a jacket or some other extra layer! GET a fold up umbrella!

Before you start your day, MAKE A LIST!! Write down any important tasks YOU WANT TO GET DONE! YOU CAN'T DO THEM IF YOU FORGET! Set your GOAL AND EXPECTATIONS for the day, but try and keep them reasonable and relevant! Keep S.M.A.R.T. goals!!

IF you have SOMEWHERE TO BE leave early enough so you can BE ON TIME!! A TRUE LIGMA respects peoples time and isn't LATE!!

If you are BUSY, continue to update YOUR LIST as you COMPLETE YOUR GOALS and SET NEW ONES!!

MAKE AN EFFORT to EXERCISE a little bit EACH DAY! If YOU WANT TO BE A LIGMA try to improve yourself a bit each day. Breaks are good to take but on a typical day you should be working to make your life better, even if that just means walking to the store store instead of driving, or adding some extra vegetables to your meal to give it a bit more nutritional value. With starting a regular exercise routine , it is to set small goals that you can do now and a larger end goal, slowly increasing what you do each day until you meet your end goal (ex. "I stronger abs, I want to do a 5 minute plank" -> "I will do five situps and five leglifts today, and a 15 second plank, but tomorrow I will do 6 of each and hold a plank for 16 seconds"). A LIGMA cares about their HEALTH and IMPROVING their quality of life.

When IT IS TIME for bed, try to set your alarms/do anything you need on devices first, so that you can put it down and not look at it until tomorrow. BRUSH YOUR TEETH and (if you are not in a rush to sleep) FLOSS!! IF you don't take showers in the morning you should before you go to bed!! PUT ON some CLEAN pjs! It is also you to READ often, and before you go to sleep is a good time to do that! Try to GO TO BED at a reasonable time so when you WAKE UP you have gotten A GOOD AMOUNT OF SLEEP!!1!!
