Day 8: Sleep deprivation

When you think of sleep deprivation you think of insomnia or something like that, for this case, I think like Alex might’ve forced himself to stay awake when on the hunt or something or maybe even during college, a little hc of mine. Or if he were to be with Habit then Habit would’ve tested all of Alex’s limits and this would’ve been one of them the dark halo was something that I wanted to add onto it but for the actual meaning to me I guess is the fact that he is a false savior something I’ve brought up in other projects or something like that. Many others will agree that some of the framing of Alex is almost biblical, and the fact that Alex wanted to save his friends but in the end was doing what the Operator wanted is something akin to being a wolf in sheep’s clothing but instead he was a sheep in wolfs clothing. He was a victim just as much as everyone else in the series and just at much fault as everyone else.

you always will have people who will find ways to kind of paint Alex in a way where his only personality is being angry or losing control, and that’s what we only see for most of the series because he’s been affected so badly that unlike Tim who had help he couldn’t get that or for fear of being written off. And hoping that with him shooting off those who were afflicted then he can spare them the pain he went through the amount of times he’s had to watch his hands commit something he didn’t initially want to do until he was being motivated to do it over and over as a means of mercy. Tim says that he’s just letting the Operator get what it wants when I imagine in Alex’s mind he’s doing the hardest thing, before we see him run away after having to sacrifice Brian and possibly killing off Seth but then comes back after Amy dies to spare them the fate that his girlfriend wasn’t. But he either procrastinates too much or does it at the wrong time.

So I thought that since everybody is in a time loop it would make since that they are always going to lose from the very beginning and one of the things that you notice from their interaction is the fact that Evan is so delirious and has just essentially given up because he’s been killing his friends without being in control and has had his mind shattered basically. And then having to find out from the guy that has been toying with you since the beginning of the channel telling you that your best friend who you’ve been having to rely on was literally the reason that they were being watched with cameras. That is something that would absolutely break a person, imagine having thought that the very thing in your mind was the reason that you were paranoid for all that time, but instead it was your friend manipulating the entire thing and being saved for last. But, also it just makes me sad at how much Evan has on his plate and then having to realize that from the very beginning Vinnie had basically set everyone up for failure. sorry really long thing but yeah that’s my thing enjoy and I feel like the image is crappy but it gets its point across I think. Also the scars are from like if we’re to go by Antler Graves depiction of Habit then this would be the result since there is no way that those wounds would be able to heal once the teeth have gone back in.

Day 9: Obsession
