What are your thoughts on when M/S had sex the first time? I hear the term "secret season of sex" being used quite often. Referring to (I assume) the time between Millennium and All Things. What is your understanding of "the secret season of sex" and do you buy it? Or do you stand by All Things being the true event?

I believe they had sex for the first time after Millennium- largely because of their dynamic shift in Rush. This is definitely a post-coital Scully playing with Mulder’s tie:

I could go on, but I think I’ve made my point. They’re definitely doin’ the do before all things. In that episode, I believe Scully threw away any and all doubts about being in love with Mulder and accepted that he is her soul mate and other half.

Are there any scenes of XF fanfic that live on vividly in your memory? Like, you can just conjure them up at a moment’s notice and live in them, just savoring the mood, the environment, everything in that scene? 

For me, it’s the Lone Gunmen party scene in Penumbra’s Parabiosis, which is probably a cliche even to admit. I can never forget it; it has such a vivid and specific feel to it. I can close my eyes and picture Mulder and Scully in the Lone Gunmen’s tiny, cluttered bathroom, whispering to each other about Mulder’s mummy theory, then later finding a picture of themselves on that same bathroom wall, and then even later still, hearing the notes to A Whiter Shade of Pale and heading out to dance. They kept returning to that room. Something about that whole party scene, and those stolen moments in the bathroom, stay with me forever. There are a lot of fics I’ve loved, but there are few scenes that I can recall with such clarity, that put me in such a tailspin of emotion and nostalgia like this one. It feels like canon to me. I’m so grateful for it.
