i think why kang yohan works so well as a character, and is by far one of the more intriguing ones, is because no one is really set on changing him. gaon tries to channel his chaos, but he doesn't ask yohan to fundamentally change for anyone, aside from elijah. and it isn't about his character so much as his personality of learning to be less jaded and let love in so he can bond with the one person that matters most. and regardless of debating the morality of yohan's actions, i think there's a level of peace knowing a character is allowed to be and exist without an ultimatum that they'll lose everything if they don't completely change. granted, we see that journey with kang jisang and isaac, to a degree, but for the most part, yohan just existed. and he existed after isaac, and gaon and elijah didn't love him any less for it.
