Finally! I've finally got to work on all the Overblot Overhaul designs!

For a refresher, my 400 follower raffle was to pick 4 folks to have an OC of theirs Monster-Blot-ified (They are both the mage AND phantom of their overblot). They are all sketched and moderately rendered (per what I had time for/thought appropriate)

To kick off Spooky Season, Here they are!!

reflection in the water

genre: carla angst, childhood reflections

notes: written in he/him pronouns to not confuse anyone- this is like a week old

his soft fingers outlined the spiral design, his eyes could be mistaken for a mirror with how clear and wide they were.

like a still puddle, the reflection is as still as you make it.

silence pools the atmosphere

silent like the day they shared together after he was captured.

after he was rightfully taken away from him.

it was rightful. there were perfect reasons for why.

I'm so glad yall are liking them so far TwT If I could blab for a bit about the design:

You mentioned the Infinity Symbol as a central motif you wanted included. With the design they have originally, I had to think of what to add on without making things cluttered.

As well, you mentioned the exploration of the Time Loop Theory (For those who haven't heard: TLT is by my understanding the theory that You (Player) are stuck in a time loop, with 'death' (Game Overs) resetting you. As well it is an explanation for why everyone stays the same age, even though there are reruns of events and diff iterations of the same like birthdays)

For that, I wanted to incorporate something to extenuate the lack of agency being stuck that way as well as how much Ryuuni has been a proverbial toy to The Powers that Be.

For that, what better way to show that than by literally being Tied to The Narrative?

That was what I found as the way to incorporate the infinity symbol: the ties that bind, join(t)ing them together. The only thing holding them together -after having been taken apart piece by piece by the Cast- being the resignation that everything will just reset.

So then why can't Ryuuni be upset? angry? Who says they can't take back control? These boys have a lot of their actions to answer for; they might not remember all the things they did, but it still left scars.
