what are some things you look for in a game? what are some games in the past 5 years that you feel are really excellent and make use of the medium well? (however that looks like to you) :3c

Firstly, I look for the promise of a great story, be it sweeping and epic or straightforward and cathartic. (OFF, Chrono Trigger, Persona 5, TT’s The Walking Dead \season 1\,  Lisa: The Painful RPG, To The Moon, The Cat Lady, Final Fantasy 6, Link’s Awakening, Bravely Default)

Secondly, I look for a game which excellently immerses you into its environment; a game whose world you don’t really want to ever leave. (Kentucky Route Zero, Abzu, Yume Nikki, The Stanley Parable, Dear Esther, Firewatch, Shadow of the Colossus, Journey,)

Thirdly, I look for something with a really unique art style, something I feel like I’ve never seen before. (Gingiva/Middens, Monument Valley, Thirty Flights of Loving, Crypt Worlds, Limbo, Her Story, Time Fcuk, LSD: Dream Emulator)

Lastly, I’ll likely play a game which lacks the previous three requisites if it has promise of becoming meta or subverting your expectations radically. (Doki Doki Literature Club!, NieR: Automata, Spec Ops: The Line, UNDERTALE, INSIDE, The Witness, Hatoful Boyfriend, Anatomy, The Beginner’s Guide)

ppl have split opinions on telltale, but i tend to like watching playthroughs of the games, even if i'm not as familiar with the main series it's based on (tho sometimes it does feel like glorified fanfiction) The batman one was really good. As for borderlands, there are some charas from the main games, but the main cast/charas you play as in the telltale ver are original charas (troy baker and laura bailey voice them, if that helps)

I think I wanna watch the Super Best Friends play Tell Tale’s Batman... Apparently they think it’s tops!

Hi, Kip! I downloaded the Green's Dream demo on my Mac a while back, but for some reason I'm unable to save my game. Whenever I get to the part where I choose which save slot to choose, it doesn't let me pick one. Do you know how to fix this problem?

I wish! I also face the same problem on my Mac... I actually somehow thought it was only my computer? This is discouraging as saving is pretty important in GREEN’S DREAM... I noticed the same issue is present in Harry Houdeen, too! I’m gonna keep looking into it and as soon as I find a solution, I’ll let you know, frand! (This problem does not exist on the PC version.)

GREEN’S DREAM will indeed have multiple endings! And that’s all I can say on the matter. :-X

There’s a translator on here called VGperson who’s translated some JP indie(?) RPG games (I believe she’s the one who translated IB), you should check out the ones you can download, Witches heart looks cool
