When The Pred Says Theyd Never Harm You But Their Definition Of Harm Doesnt Consider Digesting Someone

When the pred says they’d never harm you but their definition of harm doesn’t consider digesting someone and imprisoning their immortal soul harm.

You know I don’t often write about sex, but I feel like writing about vore probably presents the same issues. In that you are writing about the same thing over and over and there are only so many words you can use to describe it. Also the reasons people are attracted to the scenes you are writing are poorly understood and it’s difficult to know if you are evoking the same emotions in the readers as you are evoking in yourself.

I feel I should clarify something because of my last post is Bastion an ambush predator or an active hunter? The answer is that he’s mostly an ambush predator. But he embodies spiders in general not any particular spider. And in the previous snippet there was that unspecified bargain to take into consideration. Bastion can’t actually leave the Manor usually but he can be summoned and what’s summoned isn’t technically his true self. Or you’d hope not anyway, summoning Bastions true self would likely also summon the parlour and that’s a terrible idea. It’s more like summoning gives permission for a new proxy manifestation. In the case of the snippet one designed to protect and attack which means leaning heavily on the influence of things like the Huntsman spider, given most spiders are not actually designed to operate openly. He’s also a pretty old and powerful Fae creature and even a homebody like him is going to pick some magic up over the years. Hence why the monsters are very much dead despite Bastion perhaps not really at first seeming like the kind of creature that would be good in a fight. Against something actually in his weight class he’d likely have significantly more trouble though. But most things in the Forest surrounding the Manor are emphatically NOT in his weight class.

If my last draft post didn’t explicitly spell it out. I love the Spider and the Fly dynamic in vore. What I mean by that is I love Preds that can’t get to a prey unless they cross certain boundaries first and who slowly wear down a prey psychologically not with threats or meanness but with pure unadulterated charm and affection. Especially if it’s entirely sincere but entirely deadly regardless. There’s just something about a creature that can’t go against its nature to the point it doesn’t know how to not kill you, only how to lure you in with honey rather than vinegar. Also the tragedy of a prey who’s so used to being treated badly that there’s something almost comforting to them about knowing damn well that no matter how nice the pred is they’re ultimately still dangerous. Like the prey is so broken they can only accept the niceties because they know it’s coming from something unapologetically dangerous.

This probably says something about my own trust issues to be honest. But let’s not analyse that too much.

Warning: The following snippet contains; Minor mentions of blood and gore, some body horror, lots of arachnophobia triggers. Size difference. A shady fae creature on their best behaviour. Unspecified bargains with said shady fae creature. Some very dead monsters.

The face was familiar, though the size of it was not, nor was the number of eyes, the chelicerae protruding from his jawline, the sharpness of his canines or the number of arms. Speaking of his arms and indeed his limbs in general not only were they larger but proportionately they had elongated to the border of grotesque but merely the border as if Bastion were fighting to maintain some semblance of the illusion of humanity in her presence. That illusion was already well and truly lost, because the being before her was not merely huge and grotesquely proportioned but it’s movements were more like a spider than a man.

“Do not run Ida.” The creature cautioned, in that all too familiar, ever gentle voice, albeit this time with the disturbing addition of distorted reverberations, as though the same voice were overlapping with itself, just slightly out of sync and speaking at both higher and lower frequencies at intervals.

“If you run, I will most definitely chase you and I fear even with our agreement, I will not be able to control myself”

“Are you going to eat me Bastion?” She asked carefully, after all, when dealing with inhumanity, it never hurt to clarify, for all she knew he was simply warning her away from a more painful death, not warning her away from the prospect of death in its entirety, in which case, she was in fact going to have to run.

He laughed and despite the distortion there was something quite deprecating about it. “As much as I would love to, in this particular instance I am in fact trying to behave myself, come here Ida.”

Naturally she stayed where she was. He huffed at her. “Yes I realise it seems counterproductive, but please come to me” There was a note of desperation in his voice and after taking the correct amount of time to assess if this was a ploy, Ida took pity on him, moving towards the hulking thing before her, though even she wasn’t quite sure how she managed to cross the distance.

Multiple arms wrapped around her, the embrace was warm and oddly gentle but there was an undercurrent of strength to it and Ida held no illusions about her chances of breaking free should he not want her to. He buried his face in the crook of her neck and sighed. Honestly at this size he was a little heavy but the way he seemed to sag with relief as he held her, made her feel obliged to weather through it with dignity.

“Apologies Ida, I did not think they would be so brazen as to attack you while you were under my protection. It was terribly rude and I am quite upset with them.”

As she patted one of his arms in what she hoped was a comforting gesture. Ida thought about the numerous dead monsters presently leaking blood and viscera onto the forest floor and concluded that The Spider Prince had a remarkable talent for understatement.

Having OCs as a vore fetish and horror writer is kinda paradoxical in that on the one hand I fawn over them and am like “aww babies” and on the other hand I’m like “These two are fucked up beyond all hope of repair and if they were real people I’d probably either run away screaming, kill them on sight or pay for their therapy”
