Old school parents

So maybe I've just been noticing it more, or maybe it's just my parents, but have adults (and I'm not really talking about melinials that are adults) become more sexist, homophobic, racist, etc.? Like this morning I was with my parents in a parking lot and this person pulled into a spot only to use it to back into a different spot, and my parents got so pissy about it (even though it wasnt a huge deal at all it literally just made us park two spots over from where we usually do, but thats a completely different issue). And in there rant my MOM said "women should not back in, now on top of the fact that that's just straight up sexist shit, we could not see into the car windows meaning that the only reason that they thought it was a women was because they were driving badly. And I notice things like this more and more recently of my parents saying stuff that's blatantly homophobic, racist or sexist, or just generally anti "liberal" issues, but then they wonder why we say they don't care about people. Sorry for the long unorganized rant but I figure I'm not the only one who can relate to this.

My favorite thing happening right now is the st*rkers finding out about the block list that was made so that we wouldn’t have them creepin on our blog, and then them attempting to retaliate by making their own block list for us. Like: oooOOOooo we’ll show them how it feels! And we’ll piss em off real guud! Lmao!

And then all the normal people are just laughing their asses off and trying to be put on the list so our content won’t get touched by the phedo-fingers.

I’m here laughing my ass off, because why the fuck wasn’t this done sooner? And I am also making this post so I can get their attention, so they’ll put me on that glorious list already!

COME BLOCK ME @ST*RKERS!!! I AM BEGGING YOU!!!

(And if you (st*rkers) are going to come at me in my inbox at least have the common decency to not do it anon so I can block you.)

Me: The school system is terrible, and not an effective way of teaching students, and to back up my statement here are personal accounts from me and other people I know/have seen on social media, as well as statistics proving my point.

My mom: you know why your generation hates school so much? It's because yall spend too much of your time on phones l, and not learning how to cope with things.

-An average highschool student today has the same stress levels as patients in a mental hospital in the 1950s.

-I have a friend who's biggest fear is a school shooting, one time we had to stay in lockdown for the entire day because someone threatened to shoot up our school. She couldn't sleep or complete any schoolwork for the next few days.

-I almost skipped dinner one night so I could work on a project

These are just a few things, but the list could go on forever. These issues are not caused by our "obsession" with technology. Maybe our lack of coping abilities comes from the fact that anytime we talk about a legitimate issue to an adult, it's always made out to be our fault, to the point where we learn not to trust anyone but ourselves, lest they judge us for being human. Maybe the fact that we have such high anxiety and depression stems from the fact that nothing we did was ever good enough, we were always lazy, or entitled, technology obsessed. I am sick and tired of being treated as a second class citizen because older generations dont want to admit that they are making mistakes, I mean it effects us so why shouldn't it be our fault too. Why dont we just disregard the facts that the people in charge of educational laws havent been in a classroom in probably 30 years. I am sick and tired of being told that I am never enough, that it's my fault the world is messed, and that the world will be worse in our hands. And hey maybe we won't make the world a better place, but it won't be because we didnt want to, it will be because you didnt let us believe that we ever could.
