“We’ll just have to wait and see who’s willing to pay the most to keep the ‘princess of the mob’ alive,” the man said with an evil smirk on his face.

“Who's the ‘princess of the mob’?” Y/N asked, confused.

“She’s not too smart is she?” the man asked Ten.

“What is going on?” Y/N asked. “I deserve some answers.”

“I’ll tell you what the fuck you deserve!” the man snarled.

“Kun,” Ten interrupted. “This isn’t her fault, she went through an awful lot at Se7en’s, just give her some time to get her senses back.”

“Since when are you sympathetic with a hostage,” Kun snarled.

“Just knock it off,” Ten huffed. “Or I’m gonna call him and let him know what you’re doing.”

“You wouldn’t,” Kun cocked his head.

“I need to see him anyways,” Ten smiled, taking his phone out of his pocket. “I might as well fill him in on how you’re acting too.”

Kun walked over to Ten, gently placing a strand of his long black wavy hair behind his ear, “you don’t have to call him when I’m here.”

A touch of crimson appeared on Ten’s cheeks, “you never told me that you were interested in me like that,” he smiled looking down at the floor like a shy teenager in love.

Kun ran his hand down Ten’s face, lightly caressing his cheek, running it along his jawline until Kun reached Ten’s neck. He positioned his hand forcefully around Ten’s skinny neck, squeezing it harshly, “I’m not fucking interrested in having my dick sucked by someone like you.” he spit, continuring to squeeze while he grabbed Ten’s phone with his free hand. “If you ever threaten me with Taeyong again, I will not stop.” Kun released him, leaving Ten rubbing his neck while gasping for air. He took Ten’s phone and threw it against the wall, shattering it into little pieces.

Kun turned his gaze onto Y/N who was still sitting on the dirty, blood stained mattress, trying to piece together the current situation. Nothing was making sense to her though, everything felt like a giant haze and she couldn’t connect any dots.

He walked over to Y/N grabbing a handful of hair, forcing her to look up at him, “I can see why everyone seems to fall for you, you’re fairly easy on the eyes,” Kun smirked. “Maybe you and I should have some fun later. I like to try out all the toys first.”

“Ummm,” Y/N started.

Kun pulled her hair, raising Y/N up off of the mattress, “say ‘yes daddy. Anything you like, daddy’,” he ordered with nothing but rage in his eyes and voice alike.

“Yes daddy,” Y/N whispered, “anything you like, daddy.”

Kun released her hair, dropping her down onto the bed, “such a pathetic whore,” he scoffed before slapping her face.

When Kun’s hand made contact with her cheek, her whole body flung backwards onto the bed. She grabbed her face with her own hands and whimpered, scared of what he would do next.

“Till next time,” Kun smiled. His smile slowly faded until he looked angry a few seconds later. “I have things to do,” he announced before spitting on her and then leaving the room.

Once he was completely out of sight, Y/N sat up, “what the fuck was that?” she asked Ten. “Why are you doing this to me?”

“Don’t worry everything will be fine,” Ten said, trying to comfort Y/N.

“That’s easy for you to say,” Y/N whimpered. “I just want to go home to Seonghwa.”

“Seonghwa?” Ten repeated. “I thought you were with Wooyoung.”

“Who?” Y/N asked.

“Umm,” Ten hesitated. “You’ve been through an awful lot, maybe you need some sleep. Why don’t you take a little nap and I’ll bring you some food a little later.”

“Ok,” Y/N nodded, laying down on the dirty mattress and slowly closing her eyes.

Ten left the room, closing and locking the door behind him, leaving Y/N alone to get some rest.

Once everyone arrived at the mansion, all of the men went into Seonghwa’s office where he was patiently waiting at his desk.

“It’s about time you all got here,” Seonghwa snarled. “We have many problems on our hands.”

“We need to find Y/N,” Wooyoung interrupted. “She needs me.”

“Sit down, Wooyoung,” Seonghwa ordered.

The boy recognized that look on Seonghwa’s face and knew not to argue. He took a seat next to Mingi on one of the many sofas in the office.

“We will cover everything in this meeting,” Seonghwa continued. “But first things first, Se7en needs to pay for what they did to Jongho.”

“Did he say who shot him?” San asked.

“No, he has no memory. He was talking some gibberish about some bitch shooting herself and him getting blamed,” Seonghwa explained.

San and Wooyoung exchanged glances from across the room but looked away immediately to not draw attention to themselves.

“I’m pretty sure Jongho is mixing what happened to his father and what happened to him up but, he will regain his memory and we will find out the whole truth,” Seonghwa announced. “I am pretty certain that is where Y/N is.”

“They had to have kidnapped her from the hospital,” Wooyoung blurted out.

“I don’t know about that,” Hongjoong argued. “She likes to play games and maybe she just decided to go home.”

“This is her fucking home,” Wooyoung yelled.

“Wooyoung, stop letting your emotions take control,” Seonghwa ordered. “We have to look at this reasonably. She might have gone back on her own, we don’t know.”

Yeosang looked up from the laptop that was placed on his lap before him, “she didn’t leave on her own,” he announced.

“What do you mean?” Seonghwa asked.

Yeosang stood up and carried his laptop over to Seonghwa, placing it onto his desk in front of him.

“I hacked the hospital’s security. I tracked all of her whereabouts after she left the waiting room. Here she is on the elevator and this is where another man entered with her,” Yeosang explained. “And just watch the rest for yourself.”

“Who is that?” Seonghwa asked. “Can you enhance the video at all so we can get a better look at the man in the mask?”

“I can try,” Yeosang nodded, taking his laptop back to his seat.

“Where was she at?” Mingi asked. “Because the vending machine room was on the same floor as our waiting room.”

“I don’t know who I mean WHAT she was doing,” Yunho said. “Stop looking at me like that Mingi or I’ll carve your eyeballs out of your head.”

“I wasn’t even looking at you,” Mingi argued. “I was actually trying to catch a pokemon.”

“You think I did something, well I didn’t do anything,” Yunho snapped. “I like dead bitches.”

“What the fuck is wrong with you today?” San snarled.

“I don’t care what she was doing, I just want to know where she is,” Wooyoung said as his voice cracked.

Everyone’s phone dinged with a message from Yeosang, “this is the enhanced photo of the man in the elevator. This is the best I can do,” Yeosang explained.

The men opened their photo message up, examining the picture closely.

“Thats Kim Yugyeom,” Hongjoong announced. “He’s the man that came up to Y/N when I had her out shopping when we first brought her here.”

“That’s final,” Seonghwa snarled. “Tomorrow we will be paying them a visit.”

“Why wait till tomorrow? We should go tonight,” Wooyoung demanded.

“I hate to say this but Woo’s right, god only knows what they are doing to her there,” Mingi sighed.

“I said tomorrow. DAMN IT,” Seonghwa slammed his hand down onto his desk making everyone jump by the loud noise it made once his fist made contact with the wood. “We’re down a man so we have to make sure we properly plan this out.”

“That makes sense,” Hongjoong agreed. “Jongho does come in handy in these situations.”

“Everyone get some rest, meet back here at 4am for your orders,” Seonghwa ordered. “Now get out of my office.”

“Ok fine,” Yunho snapped, standing up. “I fucked someone in the morgue.”

Everyone turned to look at him, shocked by his sudden outburst.

“I’m tired of the accusations,” Yunho sighed. “I fucking did it. I fucked her.”

 - . -

Y/N opened her eyes and attempted to bring her hand up to her face to rub her eyes with no avail. She panicked when she wasn’t able to move any of her limbs. She looked around the room and saw that she was no longer laying on the dirty mattress. She appeared to be in an entirely different room. Everything was covered in plastic wrap and she saw a man standing in the corner of the room with his back to her wearing a white lab coat.

Y/N attempted to speak but was only able to mumble, her speech seemed to be impaired. The man turned around and smiled. “Oh good morning beautiful,” he said, moving closer. “There’s no need to be scared, I’m a doctor.”

The night went on, while Y/N laid restless in her bed, unable to fall back to sleep. She tossed and turned thinking about everyone and everything. She had some regrets about rejecting Jungwon. She thought she might have some feelings for him but she wasn’t sure. She also thought about how she might have feelings for Jungwon and even Heeseung. Her emotions seemed to be getting jumbled and she could no longer distinguish the difference between rage, love, like, or just lust. It was all so confusing.

The morning light shone through the curtains in her dorm.

“A new day, a new beginning,” Y/N said to herself, getting up out of bed. She was hopeful that today would be a better day. After all, it couldn't be much worse.

Y/N got dressed in an outfit that was suitable to attend a carnival. She had no idea what kind of carnival a school like this would be hosting but how different could it really be?

After her hair and makeup was perfect, she made her way down to the dining hall for some breakfast. She only recognized a few of the people in the room but decided to sit alone at a table to eat in peace.

“Good morning, sunshine,” Felix said, walking over to her table.

Y/N looked up to see Felix standing in front of her with Jeongin and Han. She hadn’t seen Han or Jeongin since the incident that happened in the study and it made her extremely uncomfortable being so close to them again. But she forced a smile onto her face, “good morning,” she grunted.

“You look pretty this morning,” Felix smiled.

“Thanks,” Y/N sighed, continuing to eat her breakfast.

Felix sat down across from Y/N at the table. “What’s wrong with you? Are you mad at me?” he asked.

“No,” Y/N stated, coldly.

“Something is wrong,” Felix continued. “I can tell.”

Y/N glanced at Han and Jeongin who were both analyzing her with different expressions on their faces then went back to looking at her food, not responding.

Felix smiled, “sit down guys. I think you’re making sunshine nervous.”

Jeongin and Han groaned but sat down without saying anything else.

“Is that better?” Felix asked.

Y/N appeared to become more uncomfortable as she dropped her fork onto her tray of food. “I guess,” she sighed.

“Is it them?” Felix wondered.

“Well they did try to kill me,” Y/N whispered.

“Heeseung tried to kill you too,” Han grunted. “But you just keep trying to bang him.”

Jeongin laughed, “we would just like the same respect.” His smile dropped from his face and a scowl appeared.

“First of all,” Y/N snapped, “Heeseung has never actually tried to kill me. And second I would never try to bang him. That’s just disgusting.”

“You act like people don’t talk,” Han snarled. “You can’t keep your dirty little secrets hidden around here.”

“I’m not trying to keep anything hidden,” Y/N argued. “And I don’t want lies being told about me.”

“You don’t like lies and yet you’re the biggest liar of them all,” Jeongin smiled, cocking his head while looking at Y/N with wide eyes.

“Why did you bring them over here?” Y/N bluntly asked Felix. “They clearly don’t like me.”

“They wanted to apologize for their bad behavior towards you,” Felix stated. “Don’t you believe in second chances?”

“Of course I do,” Y/N nodded. “But if that’s the case then why are they treating me so meanly now.”

“This is mean,” Han laughed. “I am more than willing to show you mean if that’s what you’re into.”

Y/N exhaled deeply, purely out of frustration, she moved her chair back and attempted to stand up, unable to complete the action. There were two hands on her shoulders holding her still. She panicked, turning her head to see who was behind her.

“Good morning, all,” Chan smiled. “I hope I'm not interrupting anything.”

“You have the worst timing,” Jeongin snarled.

Chan ignored the boy’s comment, continuing to smile down at Y/N, “Is it alright if I join you for breakfast?” he asked.

“I was just about finished eating,” Y/N sighed, looking down at her almost full tray of food.

“It looks like you barely ate anything,” Chan argued.

“You need to eat your food to keep your strength up,” Felix added.

“Little bitch is just too excited to eat,” Han laughed. “I have that effect on sluts.”

Y/N shot him a look of death before speaking, “I actually lost my appetite because of your disgusting behavior.”

“I knew you’d like it filthy,” Han smirked. “You’re a dirty little bitch.”

“Jisung,” Chan snarled. “That’s enough.”

“But I didn’t do anything,” Han argued.

“Go get ready for the carnival,” Chan ordered.

“I am ready,” Han snapped.

“No you’re not,” Chan growled. “Now don’t make me repeat myself.”

Han huffed before ultimately standing up and leaving the dining hall. Chan breathed a sigh of relief that Han didn’t put up too much of a fight, he turned to face Y/N with a giant smile on his face.

“May I join you?” he asked.

“Sure,” Y/N nodded, “but I told you I think I’m pretty much done eating.”

“It looks like you barely touched your breakfast,” Chan stated, glancing down at the tray of food in front of her.

“I kind of lost my appetite,” she sighed, glancing at Jeongin then looking back down at her food.

“Eh,” Chan smirked, “why don’t you just eat a little more. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I always make sure all of my boys eat a proper breakfast. Isn’t that right, boys?”

“I love breakfast,” Felix smiled, innocently.

Jeongin rolled his eyes, “you’re such an ass kisser.”

Felix’s smile dropped from his face as he reached into the waste of his pants, pulling out a switchblade.

“What the fuck did you just call me?” he snarled.

“What the hell Felix?” Y/N gasped.

Felix slowly turned his head to look at her, a smile slightly growing on his face as he lowered his hand, “I was clearly joking. I was just trying to lighten the mood,” he laughed.

Jeongin ran his finger across his own throat while making eye contact with Felix, “your time will come mother fucker,” he growled.

“Knock this shit off,” Chan snapped. “I just want to enjoy a nice breakfast with my new friend. So anyone who isn’t eating needs to leave the dining hall right now and get ready for the fucking carnival.”

Jeongin stood up and stormed out of the dining hall, Felix wasn’t as quick to leave though. He gently smiled at Y/N before speaking, “I hope we’ll get to hang out today at the carnival. I’d love to go on some rides with you.”

“I’d like that too, Felix,” Y/N smiled back.

Felix’s smile dropped, “hopefully no accidents will happen though. Rides can be awfully dangerous.”

“Umm,” Y/N hesitated. “Yea I hope not too.”

“I’m just kidding,” Felix said, laughing, “accidents on rides are very unlikely.”

“That’s enough, Felix,” Chan grunted. “Go get ready.”

“I’ll see you later, sunshine,” Felix stated as he walked away from the table, leaving the dining hall.

Chan sighed heavily, “sorry about my boys. They can be a lot sometimes.”

“I don’t know,” Y/N said, pushing the food on her tray around with a plastic fork. “Felix has been really nice to me. But he’s the only one.”

“Hmm,” Chan said, raising an eyebrow. “I’m glad to hear that Felix has been nice. Well I’ll still apologize for the other ones. You’re just new things will get better, I promise.”

“It’s whatever,” Y/N sighed. “I think I’m starting to get used to everyone treating me like that.”

“That’s not a good thing,” Chan stated. “You shouldn’t have to get used to anyone treating you poorly.”

“What can I do?” Y/N asked. “I’m human and I’m no match for anyone here.”

“There’s more to defending yourself than just physical strength,” Chan stated. “Words can cut deeper than a knife. You need to learn to be smarter than everyone in the room. Make sure you always keep your eyes open and see every situation for what it actually is.”

“Why are you being so nice to me?” Y/N asked.

“I don’t like to see anyone getting bullied,” Chan said. “Are your parents coming today?”

“My parents?” Y/n repeated. “Why would my parents be coming here today?”

“Parents are allowed at the carnival,” Chan smiled. “Didn’t anyone tell you that?”

“No one really tells me anything,” Y/N sighed. “But to be honest, I’m not too interested in seeing my parents right now.”

“Why’s that?” Chan asked.

“They sent me here without any warning. I don’t know why either. I just woke up one morning in my new bed with Ryujin smiling at me,” Y/N explained. “It doesn’t make sense why they didn’t want me with them anymore.”

“I’m sure they had their reasons,” Chan sighed. “Maybe it would help you and give you some kind of closure to ask them their reasons.”

Y/N sighed, dropping her fork onto the tray of food, “maybe…but to be honest I think I’m a little scared to hear their reasons.”

“I hear that,” Chan smiled. “That’s neither here nor there, let’s not think about such things now. We should probably head out to the carnival.”

Y/N stood up, picking her tray up to return it before leaving, freezing in her tracks when she saw Yeonjun and some girl enter the dining hall holding hands.

“This is such bullshit,” Y/N snapped, dropping her tray back onto the table and storming out of the room, fighting back the tears.

“Hey, Y/N,” a voice called out from down the hallway. “Wait for me.”

“We used to go to high school together at a normal school and he was the most popular boy in school…”

 - .12 - -

“Oh my god did you see Jay this morning?” Chaeyoung asked, running up to Ryujin in the hallway.

“Not yet,” Ryujin smiled. “I’m sure he looks amazing though.”

“No you don’t get it girl, he’s looking for you,” Chaeyoung smiled.

“For me?” Ryujin asked. “Why?”

“I don’t know,” Chaeyoung said. “But everyone is talking about it.”

“Ryujin,” Jay said, walking up to the two girls. “I’ve been looking all over for you.”

“Well you found me,” Ryujin smiled, hating herself for saying something so stupid.

Ryujin never knew what to say. She was what you would describe as awkward. She wasn’t comfortable in her own skin but when she looked at Jay she forgot all of that. She knew what she wanted, she wanted jay.

Jay stared at Ryujin for a few moments, analyzing the love struck girl in front of him.

“I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today after school?” Jay said.

“Are you serious?” Ryujin asked. “Of course I’d like to hang out with you.”

“I figured you’d say yes,” he smirked. “Be at my car when I get there.”

“Ok,” Ryunjin agreed eagerly.

Jay didn’t say anything else as he half smiled at the girl and walked away.

“What was that about?” Chaeyoung asked.

“I don’t know,” Ryujin smiled, “But I’m not gonna question it. I can’t believe he finally knows who I am.”

“But don’t you think it’s a little strange that…” Chaeyoung continued.

“Shut the fuck up,” Ryujin growled. “You’re starting to ruin this for me.”

“Ok,” Chaeyoung said, looking down at her feet. “I just hope it goes like you want it to.”

The rest of the day went on without a hitch, just the mundane normal shit. But it seemed to last forever, time seemed to stand still because Ryujin has never been so excited for anything in her life.

The bell rang signaling the day was over. Ryujin ran to her locker, throwing everything inside and hurried outside to Jay’s car to wait on him. 45 minutes later he finally exited the building, headed to his car, kind of surprised the girl was still waiting.

“Hi,” Ryujin smiled, cheerily.

“Oh you’re still here,” Jay grunted.

“Yea of course I am, you told me to wait for you so I did,” Ryujin said.

“But I didn’t think you’d actually wait for almost an hour,” Jay laughed. “You must really want something from me.”

“Um,” Ryujin hesitated. “I don’t really know what you mean.”

“Oh god,” Jay rolled his eyes. “You’re dumber than I remembered.”

“Yea I guess I can be kind of dumb,” Ryujin agreed, just happy to be talking to the boy.

“Get in,” Jay ordered, climbing inside of his car.

Ryujin happily did as she was told. Once inside she turned to look at Jay, “so are we going to get something to eat or go to the mall?”

“Hell no,” Jay grunted. “We’re going to my house.”

“To do what?” Ryujin wondered.

“To have some fun,” Jay smirked. “I’m assuming it's the only thing you’ll be good at.”

“Um I’m not sure if I…”

Jay turned to look at her with a look of rage on his face, “you’re not sure if what?” he snapped. “You don’t want to hang out with me?”

“Of course I do,” Ryujin nodded.

“Ok good, then shut the fuck up and enjoy the ride,” Jay ordered.

Ryujin ignored her instincts to get out of the vehicle and go home, she stopped arguing and looked out of her window.

When Jay pulled into the driveway, he got out of the car and started walking inside. Once he got to the door he turned to see Ryujin slowly walking behind.

“Would you hurry the fuck up,” Jay ordered. “I’m starving.”

Ryujin didn’t respond, she just picked up her pace and followed the boy inside.

“So what are we eating?” Ryujin asked, innocently.

Jay turned around, eyes as black as night and his fangs fully exposed.

“You,” he snarled, moving closer.

“Oh my god,” Ryujin gasped. “What are you?”

“Your worst nightmare,” he whispered, biting down harshly on her neck. Ryujin continued to scream and fight to get him off of her. Jay continued to drink until he was satisfied. He pulled away, dropping Ryujin’s body onto the floor. “God you taste good.”

“Why are you doing this?” Ryujin cried.

“I thought you wanted my attention,” Jay said, wiping the blood off his mouth with his arm.

“Not like this,” Ryujin continued crying.

“You don’t look so good,” Jay said, cocking his head to look at her. “I think I might have over indulged,” he laughed.

“I don’t feel so good,” Ryujin announced. “Am I going to die?”

“Not yet,” Jay smirked, biting his wrist and forcing his arm into her mouth. “Drink.”

Ryujin did as she was told. After a few minutes Jay pulled his arm back and Ryujin stood up. She contemplated trying to run, she weighed her options as Jay stared at her. He moved inches away from her face, gazing intently into her eyes.

“You’re not going to be scared,” Jay ordered.

“I’m not scared,” Ryujin repeated.

“We’re going to party and have some fun,” Jay continued. “And maybe I will let you live.”

Ryujin smiled, “that was so delicious. Can I have some more?”

“That’s my girl,” Jay smirked, walking into the living room turning on some music. He poured them both a glass of whiskey before kissing Ryujin harshly grabbing her hair to hold her still.

The two continued to party for a few hours. Ryujin and Jay were dancing, bodies pressed firmly against each other. Jay kissed her head instantly sending shivers throughout her body. He leaned down lightly kissing her neck, running his tongue up to her ear, which he gently nibbled on. Ryujin was going insane with excitement. He kissed his way from her ear to her mouth, firmly pressing his lips against hers. He pulled away, whispering, “would you like to go to my bedroom?”

Ryujin nodded, afraid to speak because she didn’t want to take the chance of saying something wrong. Jay picked Ryujin up, throwing her over his shoulder to carry her up the stairs.

After an intense hour of sexual bliss, Ryujin laid on Jay’s arm with her arm over his chest while he lightly played with her hair.

“Are you going to kill me?” Ryujin whispered.

“I don’t think so,” Jay said. “You proved to be a good time.”

This put a smile on Ryujin’s face, she needed his approval. She wasn’t sure why it was so important but it was.

“Shit,” she said, starting to panic. “What time is it?”

Jay looked over at his alarm clock, “almost 8, why?”

“Oh my god, my father is going to kill me,” Ryujin said, attempting to sit up but was stopped by Jay.

“He’ll get over it,” Jay grunted. “I’m not ready for you to leave yet.”

“No you don’t understand,” Ryujin panicked. “The last time I was late and wasn’t home to make his dinner, he beat me so bad I ended up in the hospital.”

“That was you?” Jay asked. “Kids at school were talking about a girl getting beat and put in the hospital but I never knew that was you.”

“Yea that was me,” Ryujin sighed as tears started forming in her eyes. “This time he’s going to kill me for sure.”

“Where’s your mom?” Jay wondered.

“About a year ago, she took my little sister and left. I guess she got tired of getting beat,” Ryujin stated, trying to smile to cover up her real feelings.

“That’s fucked up,” Jay snarled. “Your life is really a mess.”

“I know,” Ryujin agreed. “But what can you do? These are the cards I was dealt and I just gotta accept it.”

“You poor thing,” Jay sighed. “You have nothing positive in your life. You are pretty much a lost cause.”

“I don’t know about all that,” Ryujin said.

“No it’s true,” Jay continued. “If you weren’t here, nobody would miss you either.”

Jay reached down grabbing her head with both hands, “I’m going to help you out though,” he whispered.

“How?” Ryujin wondered. Just then Jay snapped her neck, smiling as her body went limp, falling back down onto his bed.

Jay stood up and went to the bathroom, putting boxers on when he reentered his bedroom. He walked over to his dresser, pouring himself a glass of whiskey, leaning against the wall while staring at her body. After a few minutes, Ryujin inhaled deeply while sitting up in bed. She looked around the room, seeing Jay staring at her with a smile on his face.

“What did you do to me?” Ryujin asked.

“I killed you,” Jay smiled.

“What?” she wondered.

“You’re in transition,” Jay explained. “Now you gotta feed if you want to live.”

“And if I don’t?” Ryujin asked.

“You die,” Jay smiled. “And this time you won’t come back. I’ll be back in a little while. You wait here and think about what you want to do.”

He started to walk out of the room, before exiting he turned and walked over to stand beside her. Jay bent down, kissing her on the head, “think of all the fun you and I could have if you chose to live.”

Before Ryujin had time to respond, Jay was gone. He returned in what felt like an eternity. He walked into his bedroom, dragging Chaeyoung behind him.

“Ryujin, what’s going on?” Chaeyoung asked.

“Why is she here?” Ryujin asked.

“I brought you someone to feed on,” Jay smiled. “Think of it as a present from me to you.”

“I can’t do that to her,” Ryujin said. “She’s my best friend.”

“But I could be your best friend,” Jay smirked. He turned to look Chaeyoung in the eyes, “tell your friend how much you want her to feed on you.”

“Ryujin, I want you to do this,” Chaeyoung said, putting her arm out. “Here.”

Ryujin shook her head no, trying to deny her new urges. Jay smiled at her stubbornness. He exposed his fangs, biting down on Chaeyoung’s wrist, pushing it in front of Ryujin’s face.

“Feed,” Jay snarled.

Ryujin tried to fight the urge but she could smell it, taste it, and she could hear Chaeyoung’s heart beating pushing the blood throughout her body. It was practically calling her name. It was an urge she couldn’t resist. Before she knew what she was doing, Ryujin had Chaeyoung’s wrist in her mouth. Jay smiled, pleased with what he did. He walked up behind Chaeyoung, biting down on her neck while feeding alongside his new project. Ryujin continued to drink until she felt the life draining from her friend’s body but at this point all she could think about was Jay. She dropped Chaeyoung’s arm, forcing Jay to let go of her body as well. Ryujin pushed Jay up against the wall, kissing him with her friend’s blood on both of their mouths.

Ryujin pulled away, looking at Jay in the eyes and whispered, “now you and I can spend all eternity together baby. I should have known you loved me.”

“Oh fuck,” Jay snarled. “What did I do?”

“Donghyuck, why don’t you just break up with her?” Soojin asks.

“Yea dude,” Mark adds, proudly.

“Why continue to drag it out?” Jeno joins.

“Well she asked for it,” Jisung interrupts. “What other choice did he have?”

Soojin glares at Jisung in disgust but doesn’t respond.

“I think this is partially my fault,” Donghyuck announces.

“You gotta look at the bright side,” Jaemin adds. “All of this might bring you two even closer.”

“Oh my god,” Soojin huffs. “One of you is a saint and the other is an optimist…I don’t want to talk to you guys anymore.”

“So forget about it,” Jaemin sighs. “Let’s take Hyuck out tonight to help him forget about everything.”

“Well…” Chenle hesitates.

“My treat,” Jaemin announces.

“Yes daddy,” Chenle laughs. “The rich man with unlimited credit but only a hundred bucks left in his bank account.”

“Oh my god,” Mark laughs so hard that he almost falls off of his chair.

“Ok ok ok,” Jaemin smiles. “If you’re too proud to let me pay then..”

“I’m not saying that,” Chenle snaps, quickly turning to look at Jaemin with a straight, serious face.

 - . -

“May the saddest day of your future be no worse than the happiest day of your past,” Jaemin says, raising his glass in the air and all of his friends following suit.

Jeno turns to look at Donghyuck, “bottoms up, dear friend.”

Everyone starts clapping to support their friend chugging the drink in front of him.

“Yayyyyy,” Mark laughs.

“Get him another one,” Soojin demands.

“Alright guys slow it down,” Donhyuck gasps. “I don’t want to be hugging the toilet two nights in a row.”

“Oh come on,” Chenle huffs.

Something catches Soojin’s eye from across the room. “Um guys,” she starts.  “Jaemin, there’s Y/N.”

Jaemin spins around, seeing you and your friends walking inside of the bar.

“Hey Y/N,” he calls with a giant smile on his face. “Come on over here.”

“Come on kids,” Soojin orders. “There’s room at our table.”

Your friends happily walk over to their table, pulling you along with them.

“Y/N, sit next to Jaemin,” Soojin demands.

“Do you have a seat? Because if not you can sit on my…” Jaemin smiles, “…heart.”

“Holy shit,” Jeno laughs. “Didn’t think you were gonna say that.”

“I’m a nice guy,” Jaemin smiles. “Remember?”

Jaemin grabs a glass and pours two different liquids into the glass, handing it to you with a giant smile. “See if you make it too strong, you’ll get drunk too fast,” Jaemin explains. “It’s perfect like this.”

“Do you take care of everyone this well?” Chenle huffs.

“I do,” Jaemin snaps, glaring at his friend. “I’m a caring person.”

Donghyuck picks up his glass and chugged all of the contents.

“Jaemin never mixes my drink for me,” Mark whines.

“Me neither,” Chenle agrees.

Jeno notices Donghyuck chug his second drink and watches as he pours straight liquor into the empty glass. “I thought you said you were going to take things slow,” he questions.

“What’s wrong with you?” YangYang asks, joining into the conversation,

You’re listening to what is being said about him when Jaemin turns to look at you. “Oh hey,” he smiles. “Were the lecture notes that I gave you useful?”

“A lot of the info for the test was useful but we still couldn’t finish in time,” Doyoung sighs.

“Y/N was the only one that could,” Hendery announces. “She got them all.”

“She’s as impressive as me,” Soojin smiles.

“Since you’re this impressive,” Jaemin smirks. “You deserve a reward.” He leans against you to whisper into your ear, “so what do you want?”

“Um,” you hesitate.

“I know you want something,” Jaemin insists.

“No…I’m good,” you state.

“Oh just tell Jaemin what you want. He’ll get you anything,” Soojin announces.

“Hyuck, slow down man,” Jeno says to him as he chugs his full glass of liquor.

“Don’t pay attention to him,” Jaemin whispers. “He’s an alcoholic.”

The night goes on, you’re trying not to drink too much. You don’t want to make another drunken mistake. You can tell that Jaemin likes you and the last thing you want is to go home with him just because you’re still upset about the Donghyuck situation.

You get up from the table and walk down the long hallway leading to the bathrooms. You turn the corner bumping into someone walking out. You look up, locking eyes with Donghyuck. You can feel the intensity from the way he is looking into your eyes. You want to hug him, you want to grab onto him and not let go but you won’t allow yourself to do that. You take a deep breath and move to the right to go around him just as he happens to move to the same side. After attempting to go around each other with the same result of continuing to bump into each other you both stop. It was obvious both of you have a lot to say but neither one seem to want to be the one to say it. Finally Donghyuck opens his mouth but before words could come out he quickly covers his mouth, turns and runs back into the bathroom.

There he is hugging the porcelain throne, praying for death. He continues to vomit until there is nothing left in his stomach. He slumps down, laying his head on the seat, slowly closing his eyes.

 - . -

Donghyuck opens his eyes, looking around, realizing he is in a bedroom lying comfortably tucked into a bed. He looks over and there you are, lying underneath the blankets next to him. When you feel him moving around, you open your eyes, turning to look at him.

“You were sleeping in the bathroom,” you explain. “So I told your friends to bring you here and you could sleep on my sofa for the night. At least you still have some clothing here.”

Donghyuck looks down at what he was wearing, realizing it was different from what he wore to the bar.

“There was vomit all over your shirt so I changed your clothes,” you explain.

“I’m sorry I didn’t want to be a bother to you,” he sighs, sitting up to get out of bed. “I’ll leave now.”

You grab his arm, preventing him from getting up. He slowly turns to look at you. “Why did you take so much time to come back to me?” you ask. “You told me to wait.”

“What about Jaemin?” he wonders.

“Are you kidding me?” you snap. “I was drunk the other night so he gave me a ride home.”

“So you’re really waiting for me?” he asks.

“What do you take me for?” you huff.

“Can I really come back to you?” he whispers, hesitantly.

“Are you with anyone now?” you ask.

He stares at you for a few seconds before lunging forward, wrapping his arms around your body, squeezing tightly. Donghyuck lets out a slight whimper as the tears start to flow.

“When I was hurt you took care of me, now let me take care of you,” you whisper.

The sunlight fades, making way for the darkness to engulf the world. You make your way down the country road with only the light of the moon guiding your path. There are minimal street lights along the way making for an eerie walk. You’re used to the bustling energy of the highly populated city life and you hate to admit that this is kind of out of your comfort zone.  You want to turn around and run back to Donghyuck but you’re way too stubborn to admit that you aren’t capable of getting home on your own. You shake your fears away and continue down the road, praying that you are heading in the right direction.

“Hey,” a shady looking man says, appearing from the shadows. “You need a ride, pretty lady?”

You ignore him, continuing to walk while looking down at the ground, scared to accidentally make eye contact.

“Oh don’t be scared baby girl,” another man scoffs, appearing from behind the other man. “We can show you a good time.”

You know you’re now in a situation that you might not be able to get out of. You can feel the tears starting to build up in your eyes. They are tears filled with fear, shame, and disappointment in yourself that you are just too stubborn to stay with the one man that you did truly wanted to stay with. You adjust your bag on your shoulder, preparing to take off running when you feel a hand grab your shoulder. You quickly turn, preparing to swing your bag in self defense when you see Donghyuck standing behind you.

“Come on, let’s go home,” he smiles. “My mom made up a bed for you.”

You stare blankly at him, contemplating how to properly respond. Instinctively you want to wrap your arms around him and never let go but you fight that urge.

“Ok,” you sigh, knowing you have no other option.

To your surprise, he doen’t have a cocky response or any response at all. He nods back and you two walk side by side back towards his parents’ house.

“It’s really isolated out here,” Donghyuck explains. “There are a lot of rough crews that hang around here at night too. If you’re not careful, a young, hot girl like you can get into a lot of trouble here.”

You still don’t have anything to say, you just listen to his words, knowing he is right. Afterall you almost found yourself in a dangerous situation before he got to you.

“But if you’re afraid, you can hold my hand,” he smiles, putting his hand out in front of you.

You look at him, wanting to instantly grab his hand but that stubbornness in you is still present. You don’t want to show the fear, you don't want to show him any signs of weakness. You think about where your stubbornness almost got you and you know what you should do. You exhale slowly and place your hand inside of his. His hand is so warm and your tiny hand fits so perfectly in his, almost as if they were destined to be together.

“Who wouldn’t want to hold Lee Donghyuck’s hand? Afterall I was voted most eligible bachelor, most likely to succeed, and was the homecoming king the past three years. I’m like a celebrity.” he boasts. “And yet you try to keep your distance.”

“Do you think I’d fall for you just because of all of your past accomplishments and popularity?” you ask.

“What is your type anyways?” he wonders.

“Why don’t you tell me your type?” you demand.

“My type, huh?” Donghyuck repeats, looking you up and down. “Mmmmmm. Well I like someone younger, small shape, delicate hands, fair skin, stubborn, and loves to argue with me. I’ll kiss her until she can’t open her mouth.”

You cock your head to look at him before speaking. “And my type is…”

“I already know your type,” he interrupt. “Someone sexy, funny, charismatic, cheeky and playful.”

“No,” you shake your head. “Someone clean, handsome, kind and caring.”

“What?” he gasps with a giant smile on his face. “It’s me…all those things you said, you described me.”

“Ummm,” you stare at him stunned. “More importantly, not a narcissist.”

“Yes! It’s definitely me!” he boasts.

You don’t argue, you know that no matter what you say he already has his mind made up that you are describing him and there would be no convincing him of anything different.

You walk back to his parents’ house, tightly gripping onto his hand, not wanting to let go at all cost. You follow him up the staircase in the back of the house leading to his bedroom above the garage. You are grateful of him having his own entrance to his room therefore there would be no uncomfortable encounters with either one of his parents.

Once inside, you take your bag off and place it onto one of his chairs. He hands you a change of clothing with a smirk on his face.

“Do you need help?” he asks.

“I think I can manage,” you sigh, grabbing the clothing from him.

You turn and walk into the small bathroom inside of his room. You pull your dress off over your head, replacing it with the small t-shirt that he gave you to wear. The shirt is so small that it barely covers your ass.

While you are in the bathroom, Donghyuck sits on his bed, patiently waiting for you to come out. He pulls his phone out of his pocket and begins scrolling through facebook.

Hwang Yeji updated her profile picture with a picture of a black screen. Donghyuck knows this is an obvious cry for attention and unfortunately it makes him feel some kind of way. He can’t resist the urge to click on her page and do a little snooping.

You slowly walk out of the bathroom, wearing the shirt he loaned you, the shirt that barely covers anything. Donghyuck looks over smiling widely upon noticing you standing in the doorway, looking slightly uncomfortable.

“I’m sorry,” he smiles, handing you a pair of plaid pajama pants. “I thought I had these with the clothing.”

“Thanks a lot,” you huff, quickly snatching the pajama pants from him.

“I mean I don’t mind if you just want to wear the shirt,” Donghyuck winks. You glare at him before sliding the pajamas pants on, instantly feeling a little more at ease.

“You can sleep in my bed, and I’ll sleep on the blow up,” he smiles, before walking into the bathroom to get changed into his pajamas.

You slowly crawl into his bed, without any hesitations. What you really want is for him to lay in the same bed with you. You want to spend the night with him so close that you could feel his heartbeat against yours. But you don’t want to disrespect his parents and decide not to push the issue. When he comes out of the bathroom, Donghyuck turns the lights off before crawling into the made up bed on the floor next to his bed, where you are laying. He doesn’t say anything to you, he doesn't need to. You can feel the tension and by now you know him well enough that you can tell there is something wrong with him.

“Are you stressing about Yeji?” you ask. He doesn’t respond, he looks at you with a surprise expression on his face.

“You’re not the only one who spies on people online,” you sigh. You are a little hurt that he still cares enough that her obvious attention seeking behavior is having this kind of effect on him.

“How did you forget about Jisung so easily?” he asks, rolling over to face you.

You think about the question for a few seconds before responding, contemplating the proper way to answer. “Who said I forgot about Jisung?” you ask, taking a deep breath before continuing. “I just no longer want to be with him. For someone that you can’t forget about, the only thing that you can do is forget your feelings for them.”

“So…” Donghyuck says, sitting up and moving over to lean onto his bed where you are laying. “Will you help me forget my feelings?”

“How can I help?” you ask.

He slowly leans down, closer to your face causing your heart to begin to race. Your breathing picks up in anticipation. He inches closer and closer until you can feel his hot breath on your skin and it feels so amazing. You slowly close your eyes…

“Ahem,” Renjun huffs from the doorway of Donghyuck’s bedroom.

Donghyuck quickly sits up while you pull the covers up to your chin, making sure you are completely covered.

“Mom told me to bring you some extra covers so you both will be nice and warm tonight,” Renjun announces, dropping the extra blankets onto the bed that you are laying on. “But I see that you two have that department already covered.”

“Get out of here,” Donghyuck orders, throwing a pillow at his brother.

“Have a good night you two,” Renjun laughs, slowly backing out. “And make wise choices.”

Once the door is closed, Donghyuck exhales slowly before laying back down on his bed. You smile at the cute brotherly love that they have for each other. Renjun quickly pops his head back inside. “So have you two shagged yet?” he asks with a shit eating grin on his face.

“Go away, damn it,” Donghyuck snaps.

“Bye,” Renjun smiles, waving before quickly making his exit.

You roll over, getting as close to the edge of the bed as possible. “Hey Hyuck, what does shag mean?” you whisper.

“Shag?” Donghyuck repeats, looking around attempting to avoid eye contact. “It means bathroom. He’s asking if we both used the bathroom before bed.”

“Ooooh,” you nod, readjusting in bed. “I already shagged.”

You lay down and slowly drift off to sleep. It is a restless night. You are lonely in the bed by yourself and can’t get comfortable enough to fall into a deep sleep. You open your eyes, sitting up looking around, realizing Donghyuck is no longer in his made up bed.

 - . -

Renjun is sitting on the sofa in the garage, chugging his beer while Donghyuck is digging in the refrigerator.

“What’s with the chick?” Renjun asks, cutting right to the point.

Donghyuck pulls out a beer, closes the fridge and looks at his brother with wide eyes. “Well nothing special,” he lies.

“Let’s be real,” Renjun demands, scratching his face. “You didn’t break up with Yeji, did you?”

Donghyuck looks down at the ground, then back at him before responding, almost out of pure disappointment in himself. “She asked me to take a break,” he sighs.

“Well what would happen if she would all of the sudden want to get back together?” Renjun asks. “What would you do?”

You wander out of Donghyuck’s room. You can hear the two talking in the garage so you creep down the stairs so you can listen to their conversation.

“Hyuck, be honest with me,” Renjun insists. “Do you still love Yeji?”

“Yeji is my first love,” Donghyuck starts. “And I’ve been with her longer than I’ve been with anyone else. Do you expect me to feel nothing?”

“I know you two have been through a lot,” Renjun snaps. “But that doesn’t mean you have the right to keep someone on the side like this.”

“I know,” Donhyuck nods.

“Then why the fuck don’t you clear things up with Yeji first?” Renjun snaps. “Do you like this girl?”

Donghyuck stares at his brother without saying a word. He looks as though he wants to say something but can’t get the words to come out of his mouth.

“Is it really that hard for you to say those words,” Renjun huffs.  “Or is it that you really don’t want things to get serious with her?”

“I…” Donghyuck starts. “I just can’t say it out loud. Even though I desperately want to tell her how I feel. She’s the first person that I want to be serious with but I have to clear things up with Yeji first.”

You don’t know how to feel about what you heard. It is a mix of emotions but you have the urge to cry and you don't like that feeling. You slowly creep back up the stairs and crawl back into bed, attempting to go back to sleep.
