They Both Die At The End

They Both Die At The End

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Adam Silvera? Like, this author has guts to throw this book out to us, like, even though the tittle says it all, I feel like a few of us who read the book were actually hoping they wouldn’t die. I also feel like a lot of people won’t read this book because of the tittle, but honestly I’ve never finished a book over 300 pages under 2 days. Anyways I just finished it about 20 minutes ago, and I’m actually at peace with how it ended. I hope Rufus and Mateo find each other again, and get to have the time they didn’t have before to fully all in love. So yeah, great book 9/10, I’m terrible at book reviews, but this is what I wanted to do with this blog in the first place so, oh well.

Oh and also the way music and love is just represented is amazing

Surveys for Percy Jackson fans with ADHD, Dyslexia, and/or Autism

I’m writing a paper about the representation of ADHD, dyslexia, and autism in Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians (PJO). The public’s view of the representation will be crucial in my argument. I aim to bring this topic to a broader issue about the importance of representation in literature. I also intend on arguing that PJO should be taught to incarcerated juveniles with neurodevelopmental disorders as a way of accomplishing Riordan’s goal of teaching children that their differences can be strengths.

I would be very grateful if you could take at least one of my surveys for this paper. They only take a few minutes to fill out. There are four surveys. #1 is for fans with both ADHD and Dyslexia, #2 is for ADHD fans, #3 is for dyslexic fans, and #4 is for autistic fans. You may take more than one survey, but if you have both ADHD and Dyslexia, please take #1 and not #2 or #3.

Side note: I plan on using information from The Heroes of Olympus (HOO), too, so you can mention those books.

I would also appreciate if you could share this post even if you do not have these disorders or are not a Percy Jackson fan.

Thank you so much for your time! If this paper is published, I will make a post about how to read it. Feel free to message me or send an ask if you have any questions about the surveys or paper.

Surveys:

#1 ADHD + Dyslexia

#2 ADHD

#3 Dyslexia

#4 Autism
