rindemption answered: I think it has more to do with the whole ‘We Are Jedi, We Do Not Form Attachments’ bit. I think Obi was trying to get Ani to let go of his mother and not go running off on a rescue mission, especially considering they had duties to attend to.

but a jedi’s role is one of compassion and the preservation of life… they could have probably gotten another off-duty jedi to check up on them real quick or something;;;

i always thought that obi wan was a little ooc in that instance tbh??? “dreams pass in time” sounds like something qui gon would say, not obi… personally i feel that after the second time the vision came around obi would have been like “… alright i’ll ask and see if we can go” and then if the council said no he would have discreetly looked the other way as anakin bounced off back to tatooine for plausible deniability

Although the reason I reblogged this today is because I finally have time (stupid exam that I had to retake because it had a mistake in the exam paper), I liked it before and left it with wish to reblog it later and now I’m doing it like mad. 

Yay! I’m happy that we’ll see more of Tannisen this year! 

I have got to ask: the Sith Obi-wan thread - is that posted anywhere, or is it just teases on your dashboard? Cause the desire is consuming me. (A proper Sith response, I do believe.)

Jinn is sheepish.  “Anakin asked me the same question when he discovered I didn’t know how to shield against what you did.”

Tannesin makes a strangled sound.  “For fuck’s sake, I could have killed your ignorant ass.  You seriously do not know how to shield against fire and storm?”

“No.”  Jinn gives him an apologetic look.  “I am doing my best to rectify that ignorance.”

“Thank the Force for that,” Tannesin spits, and then rubs his face.  Fuck.  “You are not leaving here until you learn what is, to us, a basic damned skill.”

“I can’t leave without transport, anyway,” Jinn replies wryly. 

“And there is that, yes,” Tannisen agrees, sighing.  “In the old days, leaving your body behind meant that an enemy could use it to track your spirit to the tomb it was housed in.  The ancient ones had a thing about being overly attached to this plane of existence.”

“Like Korriban,” Jinn says.

“Korriban should be wiped from existence,” Tannisen grumbles.  “Noisy, ancient, unevolved fucksticks.”
