Inktober Day 6 - Mapping PenThe Best And Most Entertaining Way To Practice Telekinesis Is To Throw Your

Inktober day 6 - mapping pen The best and most entertaining way to practice telekinesis is to throw your only friend in the air. It’s okay, he likes it too.
Cheap mapping pens are probably my most reliable inking tool. The only downside is I now have several and I struggle to remember which are the good ones and which are the effects-only broken ones.

In today's episode of 'things from when I had no computer', some different types of soldiers from the English Civil War.
Researching these turned out to be very hard, there was a lot of conflicting information. For example, would a pikeman have a sword? I found books saying both yes and no. In the end I thought that being in the front line with only a heavy, 3-4 metre spear would practically be suicide, and I couldn't see anyone agreeing to do it unless they also had a close-range weapon.
Anyway, I did my best with the sources I could find, but I won't be surprised if a historian pops up and points out lots of problems!

Another piece from the dark days of computer issues.
This is an example double-page spread from a children's book concept, in which a girl descends through different levels of the ocean in a bathysphere. The full book would have a double page per ocean region, and probably some extra pages in the back with facts about the real sea life that appears and the development of the bathysphere and such.
Please feel free to critique my feeble attempts at poetry!
Photos from London MCM! I am hiding behind a comic by Tom Siddell.
This year’s event had some changes that caused a lot of arguments online, so I’m still dithering about whether I should say anything about how I thought it went. Does anyone have a backbone I can borrow?

A big thank you to everyone who bought stuff at London MCM Comic Con! Sarah and I had fun behind the table chatting to people who came by and inventing our own gang name and secret hand shake.
We are hoping to exhibit at the event again in October - but no promises since there’s a lot of competition for table space!
My next event without Sarah will be Manchester MCM Comic Con, you’ll be able to find me in the Comic Village - for a detailed and up to date list of events see the sidebar of my portfolio blog.
If you can’t get to these events we also have Etsy shops:

Thanks again!

you guys! my sister ponymonster is selling her leftover convention stock, she has some really cute stuff up on her etsy store. please take a look and help her out! i’ve been using the starters zipper bag as my pencil case for a while now haha.
in other news i handed in my first year film today ( \ ; v ;)/ i’m so happy it’s done…expect hemlock pages soon now that i’m free for summer.
I forgot to photograph any of these before posting them, so I’m glad Sammy took pictures! Poppet thinks Nisse is a Tomtenisse and Lis is probably a Domovoi. Here in the south we have Lob-Lie-By-The-Fire, which is nowhere near as cute as Poppet, but just as helpful.
Just casually assume everyone is as obsessively well-informed about Gorillaz as we are. XD

Last summer I kept asking sarahfogg if Poppet (WTTMW?) and Nisse (Hilda series) and Lis (Seconds) were all the same kind of house fairy thing, so Poppet made me a chapbook explaining a bunch of different types of house fairy from all over Europe. It’s super cute, Poppet is the cutest. (the book is mini comic size, like A7?) (here in the midlands we have House Hobs - just like Poppet! :D)
The bottom photo is of a hand made notebook, with a quote from Bananaz …. I realised we filled last years music zine with Bananaz quotes but then never explained where they were actually from. X’D
