"Bloodied is The Crown"

Been meaning to draw something Cult of the Lamb related since i got back into it. This is completely and unnecessarily gorey (and slightly rushed) but hey, it got me out of art block. I'll draw something nice with the bishops soon, though. TW tagging, to be safe.

Bouncing around the idea of the Theraprism in my head led me back to a video i had seen that i forcefully tied to the concept. That being Jacob Geller's "Time Loop Nihilism", specifically the snippet from "Through the Flash". Like, if somehow Bill were to actually get better over time, the exchange in that segment of the video would be fitting i think. Below, maybe paraphrased, im writing it from the video.

"I feel like I maybe liked the old me better. The old Ama. It was easier."

"And what's the difference between the two?"

"The old me did everything one way. And only thought about one person. Now I try to help everbody instead of killing them...I used to be afraid. I know I can't take it back. I know i'm the worst person who ever lived. I know that. I'm not afraid anymore. I'm only scared of me."

"I see, and that means you've been two people?"

"How can you not see the difference? I'm so much better now. I am."

"I think you've done a fine job. And it's true that in the past you were a terrible witch. But I think there's only one Ama. And I think i'm talking to her."

I love the softer personifications of the bishops in fan works, but I also think there needs to be more incredibly gorey and fucked up fan works of the bishops.

Like yes: Heket is depicted as a muscle mommy some of the time, but here she is eating her followers alive because she's the god of Famine, after all, and she is always starving.

Kallamar is sometimes seen as a germophobe and a coward but an intelligent doctor, but here he is spreading disease and poisoning people to maintain control and keep them dependent on him. And yes: he does let people die if they don't give him enough gold or gems.

Leshy is usually depicted as a strange blind man who's rather sweet, but here he is encouraging his followers to fight and kill each other, lighting fires in the woods around the cult, and inciting natural disasters. If the cult doesn't generate enough devotion, he won't help them.

Shamura's fan depictions are usually of their more intellectual and craftsman-focused side. So here they are bloody in war, defeating an army and burning a civilization. They are the god of knowledge and war, and they control both absolutely.

Narinder is the least softened, which is fair because he is the main antagonist, after all. But he usually has a soft side. So here is Narinder: god of Death. Waiting patiently for the violence, the chaos, the famine, the plague. He takes them all and makes them his own, twisting death into inevitable servitude for all. He kills indiscriminately, with no care for the old or the young. He kills for his own gain. He sacrifices upon the altar of death and drinks down screaming souls to increase his power. Here is inevitably. Here is certainty. Here is Death.

And then there is the worst of them, the nightmare. The apocalypse. The destroyer. The Lamb.

Trying to figure out how I wanna draw Heket

Alright so Leshy is up next but i have a question(s) for the general fandom concerning him.

In short, what is the consensus on the pre-Narinder betrayal face/eyes situation with him? Like, eye in the center of face? Eyes on side only? The blood stain on his bandages implies that where his mouth seems to be now (going off purged version and eldritch i suppose) is where the injury is centered, thus eye socket, but then, how mouth? And the Leshy's Eye relic? Should it kinda just be put in the "unintentional plot hole" category along with others like Shamura's whole skull being out?

I dunno, im just trying for a good early Leshy design while sticking to what makes the most sense story/canon wise. A bit more discussion below.

Like, from this sorta standpoint it would make sense for no eye to have ever been there. But then, as the wiki states as well, it doesn't make sense that he has his eyes in his eldritch form.

Yeah idk man, what does everyone else think on it though?

An original guy of mine from a story im working on, his name is Gilroy Scrapps. Friend wanted a drawing of him but i kinda got carried away. Anyway, maybe i'll start posting more OC stuff here and there, between fanart of course. Working on more COTL stuff right now actually, so hopefully that'll be done within the next day or so.
