I’m having a bit of a conundrum. I feel that I’m aroace, but not necessarily other peoples’ definition of it, if that’s the right way to put it. I know I am asexual, and sex repulsed, but when it comes to the aromantic part of my identity, I’m not repulsed by other people’s romantic relationships. I just don’t want a romantic relationship of my own, nor can my brain feel romantic attraction, just like it can’t feel sexual attraction. I actually quite like romance and couples in media, but I don’t know if that makes me less of an aromantic. Could I have a different identity and just don’t know it? Any help or advice with this would be great. I apologize if this is tmi or oversharing. I just feel I needed to get this out.
