Im really not trying to start an argument, but even if elijah had a mental illness diagnosis that wouldn't make me feel more sympathy for him for the way he behaved. Even if what we saw was him at his worst, he still started out with watching sydney sleep and kept other nurses from taking care of him... ontop of trying to keep jedidiah out of his room in the hospital. Even if sydney was asleep eli was still trying to keep him isolated. I feel like he was a creep from the start, mental illness or not. And being mentally ill doesn't save you from criticism or from hate or judgement. He can be mentally ill, that doesn't mean ill feel bad for him for it. If elijah and sydney switched places id still stand by this take. Mental illness isn't an excuse for stalking and attempted murder no matter how someone tries to portray elijah. hes still a very intriguing and interesting character, i just feel 0 sympathy for the guy. i dont feel any sympathy for jedidiah either. He dug that hole himself, he can figure a way out.
