Where did the idea that child Deku would be a kinda clingy pushover come from? Like I am sincerely curious as to where that perception came from and how it got to be so pervasive in fandom??

Our first introduction to Deku is him resolutely choosing to throw hands in a 1 on 3 fight even though he knew full well he was gonna get his ass beat

Child Deku didn’t give a single fuck more than UA Deku

And he’s always kinda chilling to the side just vibing in his own lane

It’s a cute hc don’t get me wrong, I just don’t understand how it came to be lol
