Can You Pls Tell Me How You Get Your Colours Like That Its So Nice And Desaturated But Also Jus Fuckkk
can you pls… tell me how you get your colours like that… its so nice and desaturated but also jus fuckkk man i need it you’re so cool
hello! ur username is fun!
i just pick desaturated colors n they turn out desaturated HAHH but i also try to avoid any high contrasts.
for example, instead of using pure white, i pick grays (more yellow grays for warm, more pure grays for cool). instead of black, i lean more towards gray again or brown.
this also makes it look super fun when i do add actual harsh contrasts, like an all black shadow or a bright color. rlly fun effect!

like this ^^

just a general avoidance of the top corners of the color square, sticking to the middle!
there’s also a lot of random layer adjustments i make all the time that essentially do the same thing just faster (lower contrast, lower brightness)

here is also my old color guide from 2021 that i still kinda follow to this day. start super dull, add vibrance later
SORRY IF THIS ISNT VERY HELPFUL QWQ

there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.
a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.
if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.
within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.
here is bashar. i’ve drawn him, spoken to him, and known him now for a few months. any shares help, any art helps. draw who you see, draw what you see. thanks all

update as of May 14

bashar is aiming to reach 40k this week, which is only 4k away!
please do what you can to share the link and donate if you can. it’s only natural to feel helpless but a remarkable amount of change can be done in simple days by just $5-$10 donations.
let’s all take care of each other, best we can.

too many dreams cut short 🍉
bashar is just one of many palestinians you can help continue their lives, dreams, futures, but time is running out and every second counts.
please support him here

life is tiring and hard, so please lets do what we can to take care of each other. RT, share, talk, draw, boycott - do whatever is accessible to you!
Hi I absolutely love your art and was wondering if you do commissions and if so how much (I don't got money right now and want to see how much I'd have to save up to get a profile pic) any ways have an amazing day/night/ whatever time it is 🌻🩵
ah thank you so much ;w; !!!
i JUST closed them like a day ago (usually i post on instagram or twt when they’re open, nikoco_11 on both platforms) and am working thru my queue rn, but here’s my site with prices + examples of what i offer!

ty for the interest!!!!
Throughout the first five months of the war, both my big sister and my sister in law had been pregnant. They had to endure constant displacement and unspeakable horrors on top of pregnancy discomforts. The few times I was able to reach my sister, she would keep praying not to go into labor before that nightmarish reality ended.
Sadly, things did not go her way. The war was raging when she gave birth to beautiful baby Ossama, and it still is ongoing. Almost at the same time my brother and his wife had sweet baby twin girls, Ritaj and Rital. The three little angels are rocked to sleep by the sound of bombs and buzzing drones instead of lullabies. Due to the unsanitary conditions in their tent and formula scarcity, the newborns have been constantly suffering from acute respiratory infections as well as slow weight gain. The only medical care they were getting was that of an overcrowded field hospital with limited resources, and even that is now denied to them as my family has been forcibly evacuated again from Rafah to Khan Yunis where nothing is left but rubble.
As you may well know, many babies in Gaza are lost while waiting for consideration. The doctors previously insisted that the little ones would fail to thrive and fully recover if they stayed in the same unhealthy environment.

Despite everything, these babies are a source of hope and strength for us. Please don't let them fade away. My family is barely holding on for their sake and that of their older brothers and sisters.

We would be forever grateful for any kind of support.
Please donate if possible and reblog as often as you can 🙏
