It's incredible how no one thought that Maegor accidentally killed himself in an attack of anger and frustration.

Day EXTRA Martell Week: Favorite trope/HC
Even the extra ends, yesssss! It was going to be a fuller image to show you the top and pants that I feel like the Martells wear under some tunics, but it stayed at the bust size. One of HC that I try to capture is the use of Khol on the eyes like the rings inspired by ones of Andalusian origin that a friend showed me.
The one in the drawing is a young Meria, by the way, about 30 years old, a mother and I think she was already princess regent of Dorne, so she was a determined and tenacious woman from a very young age. willing to tarnish her image in history, if that gave freedom to her lands and her people.
Nymeria drawing of the character of the day
Nobody forgets that Rhaenyra rode Syrax for the first time at 7, if for horses there are already instructors for each step, imagine a 7-year-old girl in the air alone with a dragon
Also I saw someone else mention this offhand but I do think it’s deeply I don’t know if I want to say tragic or ironic although neither word seems to fit but the fact that the The Strong boys were given cradle eggs to affirm their *legitimacy* ending up sort of backfiring on Rhaenyra & Viserys because all three boys ended up with small dragons during the war when perhaps under different circumstances they could have been inclined to make an attempt perhaps at Vermithor or Silverwing or even Vhagar - which would have been much more helpful during the war but it does sort of affirm this idea that Rhaenyra & Viserys never really believed they’d go to war and the sort of peace time they grew up and likely wanted to continue. Meanwhile we don’t know if the Green children had cradle eggs as well although there is no mention to my knowledge but they ended up being placed in this opportunity to claim dragons the likes of Vhagar and Dreamfyre. (Although people have mentioned that Tessarion & Sunfyre were possibly cradle eggs or hatchlings). Ultimately it’s Vhagar that really does turn the tide though and I imagine Driftmark had to be chilling not only because of Aemond’s maiming because that might have been the moment Rhaenyra & her children realized they were in serious danger now.
