Oh God...! | Armin Arlert x F!Reader

Content: Mainly angst, but there's some fluff too. Not an established relationship between Armin and reader.

Warnings: Canon-typical violence, profanity.

Armin stood trembling by himself on the rooftop. Eren had just died, so had Mina, Thomas, Nack, and Milieus. Eren gave himself to protect Armin, and all he could do was fucking sit there...that's all he could fucking do.

He didn't know how long he was sitting there while his fellow cadets in the 104th were slaughtered around him, or how many other soldiers' lives were given because of his insolence. Armin beat himself up while continuing to do nothing.

Armin clutched his head as Eren's death replayed over and over and over in his head, while the screams of his squad taunted his ears. His vision became blurry with tears, his head pounding with an onset of a headache. Everything was spinning, Armin wanted to puke, or cry, or die. He couldn't tell.

He didn't hear a new squad come up, nor did he hear the shouts of his name. All he could hear were the screams of his squad members. It wasn't until he was shaken that he finally snapped out of it. His vision cleared and his headache rolled away, his nausea pushed down. When he looked up, he saw (Y/n) sitting there, worried sick.

"Armin! Oh, there you are! What happened? Where's Eren and the rest of the squad?"

Armin stumbled over his words. "(Y/n), I...I...I couldn't-"

"Isn't it obvious?" Ymir spoke, her arms crossed. "They were slaughtered. Nobodies seen them, and they're not around."

"Armin...Armin is that true?" (Y/n) looked back down at the blonde boy.

Armin couldn't respond. Ymir scowled.

"The only reason he escaped death was because he was too much of a coward, I bet."

"Ymir, shut up! You don't know that!"

"Oh sure, defend the coward!" Ymir shot back.

"I'm with (Y/n) on this one, shut up, Ymir!" Conny chimed in.

"Oh yeah?! You both wanna go?!" Ymir yelled, causing Armin to put his hands over his ears and hunch over into (Y/n) embrace.

"I will beat your ass and finally shut your mouth if you don't-" Conny was interrupted.

"Guys, guys, please! Enough! Everyone is tired and scared, but come on! We have to work together and get Armin somewhere safe!" Christa stepped in between Conny and Ymir.

Ymir and Conny quieted down and looked away from each other. Christa looked to (Y/n). "(Y/n), please take Armin and get out of here."

"I can't leave you three-"

"We'll be fine. Make sure Armin gets back safely, then rendezvous back with us." Christa gave her a small smile.

(Y/n) looked up at her from where she was kneeling, and nodded. "Come on, Armin. Let's go."

Armin clung to (Y/n) as she scooped him up into her arms. Using her ODM gear, she brought him further away from any titans, making sure they both were safe. Glancing back, (Y/n) could see Reiner's group struggling with a titan, probably a 10 meter. (Y/n) growled.

"Armin, wait here. I need to help Reiner's squad with-"

"No!" Armin screamed and grabbed onto her coat. "Don't leave! Please, please, please, (Y/n)! Don't leave...oh God...!"

"Hey, hey, Armin, it's okay." (Y/n) pat Armin's head and embraced him, hearing him sob into her chest. "There are no titans around, it'll takle me a few minutes, it'll be okay."

"No, n-no that's not why I..." Armin looked up, tears streaming down his face. "I don't want you to die...please...please don't go...!"

"Armin...if I don't help them, they might die."

Armin's sad face scrunched up even more in pain. "Then...then I'll go with you...! If you...if you get in trouble then I-I'll do what I didn't with Eren and save you..."

(Y/n) looked down at him hesitantly. "...okay, but if you're feeling like you're going to freak out, back off okay?"

Armin nodded vigorously. Both of them then used their ODM gear to get closer to Reiner's group. Armin stayed on the rooftop when Bertholdt slammed into the roof right next to him. (Y/n) shot out her anchors into the titan's shoulder, swung around and cut into the nape of the titan's neck and killed it.

Reiner's group landed safely on the roof with (Y/n). Armin immediately stepped halfway behind her.

"Thank you, (L/n). Why is Armin here?" Reiner commented.

"His squad..." (Y/n) glanced down at the small boy.

Reiner nodded. "Right."

"Come on, we need to keep moving. Thank you for the help, (Y/n)." Annie nodded to her in acknowledgement.

"No problem. Be safe out there." (Y/n) watched Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie ride away.

Armin was beginning to shift back to the state he was in earlier at the sight of the titan, and he tightly grabbed (Y/n)'s hand. Her attention was snapped back to him. "Hey, hey, Armin...it's okay."

Armin once again embraced her. "I know that was quick but...oh God...what if you were eaten just as quickly...?"

"Hey, hey, it's okay. I'm alive. Everything is okay. Let's get you to safety."

Armin looked up at her, and nodded. His blue eyes filled with tears that she wiped away. Armin thought that she looked like an angel in all this chaos - an angel of death, maybe. As she scooped him up in her arms again and rode away on her ODM gear, he couldn't help but feel safer than he ever had been in her arms.

And for once today, when he closed his eyes, he finally didn't see the slaughter of his squadron.

Ignoring Levi until he snaps | Levi x gn!Reader

Content: Reader's taller than Levi, slight angst from Levi's POV

Warnings: Maybe OOC Levi but I literally do not care right now. This is how I picture him in my head, and this is how he acted when I shifted. Suck my balls /j

Notes: I shifted earlier and this is what came out of it. Thought it would make a good fic. Based off of the game more than the show, and a Japanese drama CD I listened to of AOT (mainly Erwin's part). Also no established relationship between you and Levi.

(Y/n) looked around the training field, trying to spot a smaller figure. Eren was out, which would mean that the Captain would be in tow somewhere. Maybe even off resting underneath a tree? The more the cadet looked around, the more people began to notice she hadn't come to train.

Hange was the one to approach them, arms behind their head. "Oi! (L/n)! Whatcha doin' here?"

"Ah, hey Hange. Sorry I'm...looking for something." They looked at the section commander before glancing around again.

"Oh, I can help you find it. What is it?"

"Oh, uhm, no thanks. I can find it on my own-"

Hange lowered their arms and grinned. "Aw c'mon! I can help out! What'd you lose? Did Jean steal your candy again?"

"No, not this time." (Y/n) mumbled, side-stepping to try to peer over Reiner's broad frame in the distance.

Hange followed their line of sight, then sighed. "Oh, you're looking for someone."

(Y/n) mindlessly hummed an affirmation. Hange sighed again. "I swear, you're like the Mikasa to Levi's Eren..."

(Y/n) choked on their spit before whipping to the section commander. "H-hey! Is it that obvious...?"

"Painfully." Hange groaned. "You know, it wouldn't be as obvious if you spent more time with other people..."

(Y/n) silently stared at Hange for a moment, before glancing at the ground. "Guess I have been neglecting everybody, huh...? 'M sorry, Hange."

Hange, playing along, huffed and crossed their arms, turning away. "I'm hurt, (L/n)."

"Ah- okay! I'll do anything you want today, forget Levi." (Y/n) raised their hands to appease the eccentric commander.

It was Hange's turn to whip to them now. "Really?! Then c'mon, there's some things I wanna do today!"

Hange barely heard (Y/n)'s protests as they were dragged by hand. Both of them missed the sharp gaze from across the field.

First Time

(Y/n) held a hand over their mouth as they yawned, finishing up some dishes early in the morning before Hange could get their hands on (Y/n) again. Drying off their hands, they were more focused on staying awake than their surroundings, and completely missed the sound of footsteps approaching them.

"Oi, (Y/n)."

They immediately grew stiff and turned around. They looked down at the Captain for a moment, feeling their whole world spin in delight. Fighting off a huge smile, they played it cool.

"Ah, morning Levi. I didn't hear you come in."

"That's okay. I saw you with four-eyes yesterday. What did they drag you off to do?" He moved closer, looking up at them with interest.

"Nothing special," they yawned. "But, they certainly kept me up all night..."

Levi nodded, the corners of his lips twitching upwards. "I can make us some tea. We haven't sat down to have it in a while."

(Y/n) looked down at him with sleepy eyes before giving him a small nod and smile. Levi moved past them to grab the kettle before Hange burst in.

"Oi! (L/n)! Let's get a move on, you promised to do some more experiments with me today!"

"O-oh, I did? Ah, 'm sorry Levi. Guess tea'll have to wait."

Levi looked up at them, then over at Hange with a slight glare. "...sure. I'll have tea with myself, then."

Hange dragged (Y/n) off, then stuck their tongue out at Levi when they weren't looking.

Second Time

Erwin had been keeping (Y/n) busy with meetings. Well, Erwin told Miche, Hange and Levi as such. In reality, it was to have conversations about the media he consumed when he found out they consumed the same ones. It was a good past time and a great way to grow closer to Erwin, but (Y/n) would be lying if they said it wasn't weird to see Erwin in that state.

Currently, they were running ten minutes late for their "meeting" with the man. Turning a corner to run up some stairs without looking, (Y/n) hadn't noticed Levi until they hit each other.

"Ah, L-Levi! I'm sorry, I'm in a bit of a rush."

"Woah, hey, what about?" Levi shot his hand out to grab their wrist when they tried to move past.

"I'm sorry, I'm late for a meeting with Erwin."

Levi narrowed his eyes. "You've been having a lot of those with him lately."

"I know, I'm sorry. I promise soon we'll sit down and actually have a conversation. But right now, I really need to-"

"(Y/n)! Hurry. My office, now!" Erwin called from the top of the stairs.

"A-Ah, sorry sir! I'm sorry Levi, I gotta go." They slipped from his grip and ran up the remaining stairs.

Levi gave Erwin a hard glare once he saw (Y/n) slip into his office. Erwin caught it and just shut his door. The blonde authority figure turned to (Y/n), who had seated themselves in their usual spot before looking up at him.

"Yes?"

"Before we begin, I have to ask, is there something going on between you and Captain Levi?"

(Y/n) quirked a brow. "Huh? No. Who told you there was?"

"Nobody. Just, nevermind. It's probably nothing." Erwin shook his head.

"Uh, alright, sir. Anyways, continue."

Third Time

Reiner was leading (Y/n) by the small of their back onto the training field. "I don't think we've trained like this since our boot camp days! You got so wrapped up in that Levi guy that you just kinda stopped hanging out with all of us."

"Yeah," Eren piped up. "Did you guys break up or something, by the way? Levi's been looking real sour for the past month and a half and you've been spending all your time with us..."

"Don't be silly, they never dated in the first place. Right?" Reiner looked down at them.

"Yeah." (Y/n) nodded.

Eren chuckled. "But you'd like to."

That earned him an elbow in the side. "Shut your face! He might hear you!"

Reiner snickered while Eren let out a pained laugh. "Aw, c'mon, (Y/n)! He's not out here."

"You don't know that. He could be behind us and we wouldn't know unless he says-"

"Oi."

"Yeah, that."

(Y/n) then suddenly went stiff before turning around with the two men. Levi didn't look too happy.

"Reiner. Get your hand off them."

"Why, Captain? I was leading them out into the grounds to train."

"With Eren, too? Likely story."

"Captain Levi, please, we were all gonna train and-" (Y/n) tried reasoning.

"And what? Blow off our plans again?"

"What? What plans? We never-"

But all too quickly, Levi snatched (Y/n)'s wrist and stalked off with them, leaving a cackling Eren and Reiner behind. (Y/n) could only mindlessly follow Levi with how hard his grip was. They'd never break it if they tried.

Eventually, Levi brought them into the kitchen where he plopped them at a table. "Sit while I make tea. Don't let four-eyes barge in again."

(Y/n) could only dumbly sit there. "But I thought..."

Levi put the kettle on the stove. "Thought what?"

"Hange said that you wouldn't like me being around all the time."

"When'd they say that?" Levi turned to look at them.

"That sleepless night I had, when you watched them drag me off? I thought I was giving you space."

"Too much space." Levi sat across from them. "Besides, Hange will say anything they want to get others to experiment with them."

(Y/n)'s gaze flicked to the shorter man. "You mean this whole time, it didn't really matter...?"

"Oh no it did. It mattered that you'd suddenly put so much space between us. I didn't like it, especially when I saw Reiner on you...made my blood boil." Levi glared at the table.

(Y/n) felt their face heat up. "So...so what should I do to make it up to you?"

Levi's gaze snapped up to their's, softening almost immediately. "Spend time with me again. I don't care who complains."

(Y/n) stared at the Captain, gaping in awe. "O-okay, can do."

"Good. Now close your mouth, you look like a fish." Levi leaned forward and delicately closed their mouth with his thumb and forefinger, his touch lingering a little longer than it should've before the kettle began to scream.

"Ah- ready already? I'll pour it for us." Levi got up and walked past them, ruffling their hair as he went.

Coming back, Levi bent over from behind them to set their cup down. One of his hands rested on their shoulder and gently squeezed, while his other was used to hold the cup as he drank. (Y/n) noticed how close he was standing and just smiled softly to themselves.

Grabbing the cup and taking a sip, they leaned back and affectionately rested their head against Levi's torso.

"Thank you, Lev."

"Mhm." Sip.

Hard Days | Levi Ackerman x F!Reader | Fluff

Content: Female reader, not specified if she's taller or shorter than Levi

Warnings: Levi might be OOC. (First time I've ever written him, so be nice lol) Levi being on the verge of a breakdown at first.

Notes: I kinda like how I tied this together. I've never done something like this before.

Levi Ackerman seemed to be a cold, calculating man. Always keeping the same glare on, the same sneer. Ever since you joined the army corps he's been that way. Although, over time, that was how he presented himself outwardly. But behind closed doors?

Levi was...different.

Well, allow me to rephrase that. At first he was the same behind closed doors, at least, when you were around. Getting into mischief with Eren Yaeger and Jean Kirstein, feuling their arguments and even getting into a few of your own with each of the boys. Levi called you into his office quite often.

As time went on and he began to better understand you, and have conversations with you (the other option leaving you sitting across from him, his pen scratching against paper in the otherwise silent room), the more he seemed to relax.

It came to a point where he would just call you into his office just to have you there. The small man eventually couldn't get enough of your company. If someone couldn't find you training with your comrades and friends, they'll certainly find you in Levi's office.

For a while, that's all it really was - you and Levi just chilling in his office. You could talk about your respective days, read books in silence, or simply stay and chat for a few minutes before you headed back to the training grounds. (Or a shower, depending on Levi's reaction.)

Levi had never come to you whenever he was having a hard day. Being humanities' strongest made him believe that he couldn't lean on anyone for support. For so long he kept the idea that his office was a private safe haven. For today, he had totally forgotten that you were in there, waiting for him.

~*~*~*

(Y/n) walked into her Captain's office like everything was normal. The office looked the same every day, but, not today. The only thing she saw out of place was that Levi was not sitting at his desk. Looking around, everything else was fine, so (Y/n) took to sitting in the chair she usually sat in.

A clock somewhere in the room clicked over and over. (Y/n) kept glancing to the door, eager for her Captain's arrival. What could he be doing? Was he in a meeting? After a while of sitting in the chair and no noise indicating that Levi was near, she sighed and got up, deciding to just leave and come back later.

However, footsteps approached the door and it began to open, stopping (Y/n) in her tracks. The small man stepped inside his office, back at first to (Y/n).

"Oh, hey! I was beginning to think you weren't gonna show." She snickered, crossing her arms.

Levi visibly stiffened, and said nothing. (Y/n)'s smile dropped, and her arms followed suit, now just at her sides. "Lev? Are you okay?"

(Y/n) had been paying a lot of attention to Levi the closer they got. A big part of it would be because of how he makes her feel. It slowly became easier to read Levi, even with his stone cold glare. She stepped closer to her Captain, but he just flinched and muttered something.

"What? What was that?"

"What are you doing here?" Levi said, a little louder and shaky.

"What do you mean? I always come here, you know that."

"Not today...not today..." Levi mumbled more.

"Hey, hey, Lev..." She walked up behind him and calmly put her hands on his arms. "If you want me to leave, I can. Just, is everything okay?"

Levi stayed silent. (Y/n) nodded, thinking to herself. She hummed to herself before taking her hands off of Levi's arms. "Here, go sit on my chair. It's comfortable. I'll be back."

Levi glanced (up/down) at her as she went around him to open the door. Deciding that he was going to hold back (because she would no doubt prod him to know what's going on) on her, he decided to just sit down. His knees felt like they were going to buckle anyways.

Eventually, (Y/n) comes back with two cups of tea. She gently handed Levi one before pulling up a second chair to sit next to him. For a few moments, the two just drank in silence. For once, the scratching of pen on paper did not permeate the silence. Instead it was the ticking of the clock somewhere in the room.

"So..." Levi began. "Isn't this the part where you asked me what's wrong?"

(Y/n) hummed. "No. I figured you wouldn't want to discuss it."

Levi gave her a look.

"What? I know you much better than you think I do." She reached over and grazed her fingertips against the back of his hand. "It's gonna be okay, Levi. Whatever is happening, one day it will just be a memory."

Levi kept his gaze on (Y/n)'s own eyes, before dropping them to their hands. His shoulders tensed at the touch, but he turned his hand over and grabbed hers anyway. He sipped his tea and missed the red tinting (Y/n)'s face.

Both of them kept the silence, Levi swishing his cup for a moment, focusing on the swirling liquid and crossing his legs. (Y/n) recovered from her blushing state and relaxed, lacing her fingers with his. She chuckle as she sipped her own tea.

"...What's so funny?"

"Nothing, nothing."
