How The Cookie Crumples: Kalim x Yugure

Summary: Tis’ the Christmas season, and Kalim wants to bake cookies with you!! < 3

It was the night before Christmas, all through the dorm. Not a creature was stirring, not even the magic carpet platform. 

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that the man in the red coat would soon would be there;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds.

All except one child that was in it’s bed,

Kalim, the dorm house head.

Kalim tossed and turned in his bed, his eyes fixated on the canopy above. He glanced at his clock. 2:49 AM. His eyes stayed fixated on that clock… He watched fifty-one, fifty-two, fifty-three as the numbers ticked by till it hit 3:01 AM. He couldn’t handle it anymore. He swung the covers over him and he flung himself out the door. Was he in his otter pyjamas? Maybe but he surely didn’t care. 

Kalim had the greatest idea. He couldn’t hold it in much longer. Astrew of streamers still left around the common area from a couple of hours prior, it was in his nature of course to party and he wouldn’t miss a great opportunity not to. He raced through the halls avoiding the mess lying around. He left the Scarabia dorm and he knew where he was heading. He sped through the chambers to make it to Pomefiore. 

This is where he slowed down his fast pace up till now. He didn’t wish to be caught to bother Jamil since he knew his furry was bound to fall upon him if he was to be caught by his fellow dorm leader. He stood in affront of two doors, but see, he didn’t remember which door led to the person he was searching for. Unlucky for him, one door was to the vice-housewarden’s room while the other was to the love of his life.

There were many times when he accidentally walked into Rook’s room and he would’ve thought he learnt better by now yet he was here standing in front questioning. He was sure if he opened Rook’s door Vil would be almost immediately notified of his presence and he would be swiftly kicked out so there were no second chances and that’s why-- 

“Kalim why are you here so late?” A sweet voice whispered to him. He whipped around but swift movements were taken as a light was suddenly on one of the doors and Kalim was quickly pushed inside the other room. 

“Wha— Yugure! So happy I found you, I had the greatest idea ever and I want you to help me.” He told her grinning. 

Yugure yawned in response as she motioned her hand onwards, “Oh right! We should make Christmas cookies!” He announces, and the girl only laughs. 

“The whole reason you came to see me and risked getting lectured by Jamil AND Vil was to make cookies?” She questioned. Kalim excitedly nodded.

Yugure opened her door slightly to see all the pitch black again. She grabbed Kalim's wrist and quickly walked through the halls of Pomefiore. The two didn’t say a word but both shared a smile.

Once they made it through the mirror Yugure spoke. “We’re baking in Scarabia though, I heard the fairies in the school’s cafeteria kitchen have been alerting when people have been up there late at night… Something about a mushroom incident a couple of weeks ago..?” 

“That’s fine, let's go!” Kalim snatched her wrist dragging her through the portal. He raced down the halls to the kitchen of Scarabia. “Okay, I’ve seen Jamil make these cookies all the time. It couldn’t be that hard right?” He asked as he pulled out a large bag of sugar. 

Yugure watched him intently as he pulled out the ingredients. “Yu… Do you know how to make cookies?” He asked sheepishly as he slowly realized his mistake. 

The girl shook her head, “No… I mean it couldn’t be *that* hard.” She nonchalantly told him. “However, I think we’re missing something Kalim,” Kalim tilted his head with a confused look on his face.

“Huh? Why? We’ve got everything, there’s sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, soy sauce, eggs, and cream soda!” He exclaimed happily. Peach first gave him a blank expression before laughing.

“You’re forgetting the flour and the chocolate chips!” She chuckled as she started scouring through the cupboards to look for the desired ingredients. 

Kalim slid behind her as he reached above for the chocolate chips and Yugure went for the flour. Yugure was quick to become flustered from the closeness of their bodies but she was quick to shake it off to focus her attention on the bigger and better things, cookies. The two placed their items beside the other disarray of ingredients there was. 

In short, it was utter chaos. The two experimented with many things however the two always seemed to fall short in the cookies the two of them desired. 

Till that is Yugure went digging in the cupboards when she discovered the best thing for the two of them at this moment, a recipe book. “Kalim, throw away the last batch… It was really salty, I don’t know why we thought putting in soy sauce was a good idea… It says here what we need so we won’t be up all night doing this.” Yugure said simply as she started putting together everything, Kalim excitedly came behind and started helping as well. 

While their final batch seemed to be amazing, most sadly had become burnt. Kalim and Yugure sat down as they both enjoyed a cookie which wasn’t burnt to a crisp as many others had. 

“Mhm… At least not everything wasn’t a waste, these are good!” Kalim exclaimed happily.

Yugure only laughed at their baking disaster. The two of them quickly cleaned up even though Jamil would probably figure out about their expedition from how the kitchen was cleaned.

The two tried, they really tried to ensure Jamil wouldn’t figure it out but it was hard to say it confidently as there were smears of butter, rapid chocolate chips and many other giveaway signs that this wasn’t the way Jamil left it the night prior. Not to mention the incident in Pomefiore Rook probably was still up when the two of them left the dorm and it was only a matter of time before the two of them would have to face the consequences of their own actions sadly.

Yugure was about to leave the dorm before Kalim invited her to stay the night in his dorm due to how big it was and how Rook or Vil was probably up and would catch her sneaking back into the dorm. It took a bit of convincing on Kalim’s part since Yugure was quick to get excited to take the chance to pull a prank to attempt to freak out Rook but Kalim was successful in keeping her in his dorm for night. 

Kalim opened the door to his enormous room, fit for the king of the Scalding Sands himself. He was quick to run over to his bed and jump upon it before he quickly motioned for Yugure to follow. 

She did so happily as she crawled into his bed as well. She was extremely flustered by this arrangement but she was far from refusing this. The two of them soon drifted off of their consciousness and into a deep slumber. It was to be known in the morning that Yugure would have a surprise with Kalim’s arms wrapping around her cuddling her.

Not to mention the angry Vil and Jamil lectures which were to come along with their rendezvous.

Masterlist

This man I tell you never played video games nor did they interest him when he was younger. The only time he ever agreed to play them was when he was with schoolmates which pushed him to play with them. Even then, he typically didn’t stay friends with them long enough since he preferred being more active and not sitting down all day playing. 

Bringing this thought to the present day he’s still similar in his thought process however there is something my dear reader has changed. He’s willing to make a special exception for you. When you come up to him with pleading eyes begging him to play Roblox, it is hard for him to say no. He did at first but slowly he felt bad and wanted to see you happy once again so he agreed. 

You needed to help him make an account. He didn’t know what he was doing. Man was really about to make his username JackHowl before you came in and told him it was best not to use his real name for his username. In the end, he got you to make his account and didn’t bother choosing the username resulting in it being MusclesBiggerThanHead. He still hasn’t figured it out : )

The first game you tried with him was Murder Mystery Two, he didn’t mind it but he didn’t enjoy the game unless he was sheriff and he was doing something. He only became sheriff once when playing with you so he didn’t get the experience which you hoped he’d get. On top of it, neither of you got murderer so it was mainly just running around. Granted it was a good thing too as he was just starting to get used to the controls. Once he said he wanted to try a new game you decided to ask for a rating. “Eh, I don’t know about it... Comparing the other games I played as a child probably a 6/10. It’s just luck of the draw if you’re going to have fun or not.”

Next, you decided for him to try an obby. However, he kept getting raged because he didn’t have good mobility with the keys. You may or may not kept accidentally pushing him off the edges and into the red blocks. If you know, you know. It didn’t help your case in trying to get him to play video games with him whatsoever. “4/10, it isn’t fun. Y/N! You just pushed me off again!”

He didn’t hate this one too much. You decided maybe an rp game would be better suited like Meep City. It gave him nostalgia but he wasn’t sure till the end of you playing. The two of you played till you got him a pet and as much as he enjoyed it he still felt like it was slightly boring for his tastes. “Reminds me of a game my friends played with me… I think it was called Club… Penguin? That was one of the ones I didn’t hate too much when I was little and since it’s similar I’ll give it a 7/10”

The game you picked out next was Royale High. Now, you mainly did this as a joke but oddly enough Jack had a bit of fun roaming around with you as the two of you got dressed up. He’d say stuff like “that outfit would look good on you in real life” and “that magic is similar to the spell Crewel used in class a couple of days ago.” In general though this wasn’t a game Jack would play again. “It was funny while it lasted but I don’t see us playing this again 7/10”

Before he decided he never wanted to play with you ever again you begged him to play Altitorture. This was the only game where he truly enjoyed it. The main reason why he enjoyed it was because of the teamwork which was involved. Not to mention he did find it was quite amusing whenever one of you would become essentially a rag doll. Out of all of these games, this was the highest rating 9.5/10 just because he sucked at controlling his character resulting in many times dangling. “I enjoyed it! Maybe if we’re having a relaxing day we could play this again. I want to go outside though and take a walk, you’re coming right?”

In all, Jack enjoyed playing with you and indulging in your interests! Though you and he have different stances on videogames playing roblox with you was enjoyable. As mentioned, he would play Altitorture with you once again. It would probably be a once in awhile thing but it was his favourite out of everything he played. 

Don’t be fooled though to offset all sitting around the two of you would be doing he’d want to try and take you running with him so you could enjoy one of his interests as he did for you.
