Not a bother at all @archmaestergilly​. I’m always open to asks! (Except Tumblr formats are glitching and won’t let me hyperlink, so that’s why the new post.) I haven’t been reading too much Zutara over the last few years, so some of these are old: 

The Descent by @chromeknickers​ –  Katara accidentally kills Zuko in the NWT and goes to the Spirit World to bring him back. Short multichapter. S1.(Aang is barely featured, but it’s a really good fic and does have a happy ending. Don’t let the summary put you off.)

Mending Wounds by @fictionissocialinquiry​ – Katara sees visions of Zuko in the swamp, and this changes how she reacts during The Chase. Long multichapter. (Again, Aang doesn’t feature too heavily, but it’s one of the better Zutara fics I’ve read of recent years.)

The Worst Prisoner series by @emletish-fish – Sokka is the one captured by Zuko in S1, Zuko ends up being “captured” by the gaang in turn, and things diverge from there. (Aang does make some frustrating decisions and has to learn hard lessons, but emletish doesn’t cross into bashing. She writes Aang wonderfully, and Aang’s dynamic with Zuko in this series is one of the best I’ve read.)

Literally anything by Advocaat. – @cabbage-foam writes all the characters wonderfully. Her multichapter fic, The Confrontational Approach, is not complete, but there are plenty of one-shots to read. I also recommend her Zutara month collections.

Airbender’s Child trilogy by SCWLC – Covers all of canon with a twist – Ursa is an airbender, and there are others out there. Looking back on this one now, I do wish SCWLC had maybe not stuck so closely to canon events, but the gaang are written very nicely, the airbender side of things is interesting, and I still think people should give it a read.

I know there are others, but I’m running out of time and can’t think right now, so gonna cut this short. I’ll probably add more later.
