It was a Thursday morning, just like every other you had school and were supposed to meet up with your girlfriend, Max Mayfield in front of the entrance. Problem was, she was no where to be found. Maybe she was sick? She would have called you, but just to be sure you got to the phone outside the building.

Pushing some coins in, while looking nervously around, you dialed her number and waited for someone to pic up. It took a little and her mother answered. “Hello?” “Hello, this is Y/n I’m sorry to disturb you, but is Max at home just can’t seem to find her but maybe she’s just already in class.” “No Max went to school, I’m sure you’ll find her inside.” “Ok thanks, see you later.” “Bye” you hung up and looked around the parking lot again. Students began to walk inside, due to the classes starting in a few minutes.

Maybe she went to the toilet? You basically ran to the toilets but it seemed as no one was there. Some girls got outside as you walked in. Only the last cabinet was taken. You could hear quiet sniffles and when you bent over to look under the door, you saw the red vans of your girlfriend. Exhaling a breath you didn’t know you where holding, you stepped to the door. “Hey, Max, it’s me. Wanna open the door?” The door opened immediately revealing Max with tears streaming down her cheeks. You got in the stall and hugged her. Her face quickly buried itself into the your neck and her hands clenched on your shirt. You soothingly caressed her hair. And whispered some reassuring words, to calm her down.

“What happened love?” Her head liftet from your shoulder. And the worry in her eyes made you nervous. “They found out, they know that I like-“ another heart wrenching sob escaped her mouth. “Did they do anything to you?” You locked eyes with her and waited for her answer. “No, they they said some shit and took my skateboard.” You where furious, no one insults Max on your watch. “Let’s skip the first two periods and in lunch break I have a little chat with them, get your board back, ok?” She nodded but was definitely unsure about the whole situation.

“They are back there, but don’t do anything stupid please.” She pointed at the table with a few guys one year older that you. “Sure” you said already walking over to them. Stopping at their table, they looked up to you confused “Give me the board.” You said coldly to the one who had it laying next to him. They looked surprised “Is she your little girlfriend or what?” He snickered, while you rolled your eyes at his childish behavior. “You like to bully girls that are younger than you? Afraid others will kick your ass?” You saw how the smile got whipped off his face. He stood up and swung the board onto the ground breaking it in half. You picked it up as he knelt next to you. “Have fun with it and your little gay friend. Did you know she’s one of those people? Disgusting right? It’s-“ before he could continue to speak you smashed the skateboard against his head knocking him to the ground. You threw it away and started to punch him while he looked up at you with shook. Blood came out of his nose and his lip was smeared with some too.

A teacher got you off him “Miss Y/l/n what do you think your doing?!” Her shill vice echoed through the lunch hall. Max came running to you, pushing her way through the people standing near by. “Y/n!”

Next thing you remember is sitting in front of the principal, the boy next to you. “I am very disappointed. Both your parents are already informed. You,” he pointed at the boy, “get detention. And you,” now directing his eyes to me, “You get expelled for five days. Think about what you did.” You nodded slowly. “You’re dismissed. Your parents need to sign this and tell them I want to see them tomorrow.” He said to you giving you a formula.

As soon as he finished you stood up and got out of the building. Max was already waiting for you. “My moms at work, let’s go to my place.” She said while hugging you. “I was so worried for you, don’t do that again!” She scolded you, hitting your shoulder lightly. “I’m sorry about the board.” She huffed, inspecting your bloody knuckles “I don’t care about the damn skateboard, as long as your ok.”

The astronomy tower was a conman place for students to either make out or be sad. Which is quite funny in your opinion, cause you’ll never know what to expect when going up there.

You were lucky if you catched someone making out or doing worse, for one cause they would get embarrassed and try to cover it up in some weird way and secondly cause you could gossip about it with your friends, if you were the kind of person who’d like to put gossip or rumors in the world.

You didn’t catch anyone doing neither of those things. In fact the place was empty when you got there. So you sat down on the edge pulled your legs though the metal bars and leaned your head onto the brick pillar. The sun was going down on the right side to you and students were running around the place below. Fishing out a form your pocket you lit it up and took a drag, while sighing exhaustedly and letting the smoke escape your lips.

“Didn’t know you smoked.” An amused voice echoed through the room. A sarcastic smile grew on your face, while looking into the face of James Potter standing at the staircase. “Hey James, where’d you leave today’s lucky girl?” A chuckle came from the tall boy, as he walked over to you. “No lucky one today, but what are you doing up here?” You passed him the cigarette while he got seated “Just wanted to get some fresh air, away from people.” “I see what’s bothering you? I thought you’d be happy all weak cause of the trip of the quidditch team.” You nodded thinking about whether to tell him the truth or just come up with an excuse. You chose the first one, “well I would if I could afford it, which I can’t.” “Isn’t it just like ten Gallons?” “Sorry to blow your little perfect bubble but not everyone has 50$ just laying around, to use in order to see a quidditch game. Some people out there aren’t rich like you. Some people out there like me are on the poor side of society.” He gave you back the cigarette, while putting his arms up in defense “Sorry didn’t wanted to be rude. It’s sad tho, I’d liked to watch the game with you. No one can talk as fast about possible next moves or critic the ones made, as good as you.” You had to laugh a little at that statement cause it was true you loved to throw a tantrum about what idiots the players where. Taking the last drag you let your head fall back a little looking up at the sky. “Yeah I’d also would have liked to see the game. You know France is my favorite team.” “France?! No way I thought you’d wanted to see it cause of the Irish! France sucks.” His face was full of played dissatisfaction and disappointment. Which made you laugh and hit the back of his head. “Sorry that I like my games to be tactical and interesting to watch, instead of just following the mainstream "best" team.” He shook his head again, laughing at your comment.

“You know I can give you that money.” He said it as casually as asking for home work, but you where having none of it. “James, I don’t want your money. I’ll feel bad, as if I’ve begged for it and I don’t do that.” He shrugged, “see it as an invitation.” “No!” “But you want to see it! You could just pay me back later.” “I also don’t have the money for it later, are you even listening to me?” Putting out the cigarette on the ground “What about if you’d pay be back in something other than money?” That you’d have to give a thought, what could James Potter ever want from you? “God am I really doing this? How? I won’t sleep with you.” You joked while asking. “Go on a date with me.” You look at him with an unamused expression, “very funny” Rolling his eyes at you he answered with a serious expression. “It’s not a joke stupid.” “You wanna go on a date? With me?” Was he hearing what he said? “Yeah”

“What would you hypothetically wanna do?” Where you really considering this? What had happened to you? James looked at you with the same look of surprise in his face that you most likely had on. “Maybe go for a butter beer?” “No than you’ll just pay again that’s not working.. or I’ll pay that would work” What was going on with you, where you really going to go on a date with James? “Nah, I don’t want you to pay on our first date!” “There is going to be more that one?” A smug grin was now on his face, that you’d like to punch out of it. “If you’re willing to.” Where you willing to? “We’ll see but only if I pay for the drinks. Hawkins, a little town in India. You knew about the mysterious rumors about monsters and other strange happenings, but your father got a new job there so who were you to complain?

Yes moving there in the middle of senior year was annoying and so was leaving behind your friends. But you’d just saw it as a fresh start.

Being naturally good in school and not visiting any clubs, you had a lot of free time on your hands. So you thought why not do something useful?

After a short research you decided to try your luck in the small video store a few streets away from your new apartment.

A little bell rang as you stepped inside the store, it wasn’t much going on, just one other customer in an aisle for horror movies was there. A girl standing behind the counter talking to a boy and laughing. “Hey, how can I help you? Looking for something specific?” The boy asked while doing so he smiled charmingly at you. A little surprised you looked away from the girl which you now noticed you were staring at. “Ah sorry I was looking for some kind of manager.” He looked surprised but didn’t break his smile, as if he had trained it for hours. “Steve don’t creep her out you idiot, sorry for him. Our manager is in the back, I’ll get him for you.” You laughed at her comment and thanked her.

“Ok name your three favorite movies.” That was it? His only request for employing you was to name movies? “The Godfather, Top Gun and The Apartment.” And just like that you were hired.

It’s the next day and your first shift started at 5pm. The girl from yesterday was there too. Now you had the chance to look at here more precisely. You noticed the freckles that were spread randomly all over her face and how her dark blonde bangs were falling in front of her eyes. “Oh hey your here!” She gave you a warm smile “I’m Robin by the way.” You analyzed her face, as she was continuing to talk, noticing her dark lashes and blue eyes, which were now staring at you. “Yeah cool, I’m Y/n.” You heard yourself answer. She grinned and placed a pile of VHS in your arms and pointed at the romance aisle. “Just sort them in alphabetical order, if you have any questions, I’m right here.” Nodding you went in the direction and started to work.

After a few minutes Robin came back to me “Hey how’s everything going?” “Fine I’m almost finished.” She smiled in reaction to that. “You know, I’m a very talkative person and normally I work with my friend Steve, but I didn’t want you to get scared away by him so I thought ‘hey let’s see who this new girl is’ so tell me about yourself!” You laughed and thought about what you could tell her “Well I just moved here like two weeks ago with my father, I like plants, books and movies, I’m in senior year and I love Lavender. Also I really like that tie, it fits you.” A light blush reached her cheeks which she nervously laughed away. The rest of your shift Robin gave you a quick guide for living in Hawkins, where the best spots and Restaurants where, which people to avoid and who is fun to be around.

As your shift ended you got your jacket and before exiting you called out for Robin “Let’s go to one of those restaurant’s you mentioned earlier, after our next shift together on Friday!” Stuttering she answered “What? Ah yes that would be great, amazing, I mean yeah totally!”

Your boyfriend Tsukishima Kei often seams like a cool, collected dude that nothing ever brings out of concept. Truth is, he gets a heart attack at nearly everything you do and he hates it.

Like having a studie date with you, but he just can’t get himself to concentrate when you bite your lip while solving a complicated task and have to much pride to ask him for help. He just can’t look away and you always notice and then tease him about it, which annoys him cause it’s just the truth, you make him weak. But of course he also loves to tease you about everything and he loves to see your played mad expression, which he knows will be gone as soon as he smiles, ruffles through your hair and kisses you.

He also loves how comfortable you are with him, the fact that his presence only soothes you makes him beyond happy. Yes he loves your energetic and fun side that drags him into amusement parks or window shopping. But he won’t back down, when you need someone to cry to or just cuddle and talk to. He’s definitely there for you with open arms and comforting words.

Also even if he doesn’t show it he’s a big friends and family person and he loves to see you get along amazingly with those he loves. Whether you watch sports with his brother, talk about politics with his mother or about travels with his father, Tsukki just enjoys watching how naturally you get along with them. And yes he is hesitant about calling his teammates friends but just seeing you have the tiniest interaction with them while smiling and laughing after watching a game of his, makes him fall in love with you even more. Naturally you also are friends with Yams and the two of you love to talk about boring tv shows or just make fun of Tsukishima and tho he dislikes that you go against him, the butterfly’s in his stomach go crazy whenever you laugh even if it’s about him.

And believe it or not he actually a sucker for cute cringe couple stuff and wants as much attention from is partner as he can get. Also he loves showing you if he’s incredibly proud of you and himself for making you his s/o.

A/N: The brother sister dynamic is simulator to the one I have with my older brother which I personally think makes it quite realistic idk// but also thanks for requesting, had a bit of a lack of motivation and this got me going hahhah

Summary: Your big brother finds out about your relationship to Max

You and Max where dating since almost half a year. You decided to keep it a secret, due to it being the 80’s and you also having homophobic parents. Meaning your relationship was hidden behind the terms of best friends. Friends going for the movies, friends having sleepovers, friends occasionally holding hands, friends who definitely looked at each other, with a little to much adoration.

You envied you brother for being able to do all those things with his dates and actually being able to call them that. No one would look at him as if it was weird. No one would question it, dismissing it as teens doing what teens do. But you couldn’t so, you had to sneak around. Meeting up with max in the bathroom, between class, to do something as simple as share a kiss or two.

As mentioned the two of you had regular sleep overs. Your parents went on a trip for the weekend and Steve had to work.

You made pasta with Max and ended up on the couch cuddling, while she read one of her many comic books to you. Dozing off you listened to her calm heartbeat.

Just to be soon woken up by the loud sound of the front door falling shut. As the information sunk in you jumped up the couch, being scared your parents would come home early. But before you stood a confused looking Steve. “Man, Steve you scared me to death!” His looked keeper wavering between you and your girlfriend. “What’s going on here?” You gulped, a hundred thoughts where running through your mind. “Stop biting you lip, it looks ugly and don’t panic, whatever this, is I’m ok with it. Well as far as I’m being ok of you having anything with anyone.” You sat back down on the couch, while Max got up from her lying position and settled next to you. Steve sat in an armchair across from the two of you.

“What is this?” Was his first question while gesturing between the two off you. Max took your hand in hers, “We are dating.” Your brothers eyebrows peaked up while he gave a nod, “Since when?” “Half a year,… in two weeks.” Now he looked surprised “How did you keep this so long from me?!” “Well I’m smart and wanted to keep it secret and your an idiot.” Fake laughing, he showed his annoyance to you. “Are you mad at me?” Steve shook his head got up from his seat and brought you into a hug. Tears welled up in your eyes and you let out a deep breath “I’m not mad about you liking girls. But why Max?” He had a painful expression on his face to which Max hit his arm. “Look, she’s always mean to me!” You couldn’t do anything but laugh, as the two of them started bickering as always.
