Simple Ideas For The Pink Moon
simple ideas for the pink moon🌸🌕
self-isolation may mean that you have a lack of resources or even energy to celebrate the full moon in the way you normally would. i think most of us are feeling a bit run-down, so here are some more easy rituals to complete to connect with Her tonight.
divination. even if you’re asking just one yes or no question, divination is perfect for making connections with the moon’s psychic energies. our intuition is often strongest at this time of the month. if you don’t have access to divination tools such as oracle cards or a pendulum, you can meditate under the moon with a question in mind. you may be surprised by the answers that come to you.
charging crystals and other tools. you don’t have to use your own energy for this. simply leaving your tools in the moonlight is a perfect way to charge them with intention. i leave some selenite on my windowsill along with my tools so i can cleanse and charge them all in one go.

Witchy mental self care
If you're even just a bit familiar with modern Witchcraft, you probably know about the self care culture in the practice.
From magical baths to anti anxiety spells, we have all kinds of tips and tricks disguised as magick to help us through the day.
Here's some small witchy tips I know/came up with:
》 on the days you can muster up some energy, try getting out of the house for a little magickal adventure: collect leaves, pinecones, berries and mushrooms; do a little sunbathing; take pictures of nature; do some cloud divination. Just think of everything you do as magick: you're not just walking, you're connecting with nature!
》 if you have trouble sleeping, boil some bananas, pour the water into a cup, add cinnamon or vanilla and drink it. It should help a little.
》 if you have a stress migraine, lay down and place a crystal on your forehead. The slight pressure can help with the pain.
》 before going to sleep, take some time to light and incense and walk around the room to make sure the smoke gets in every corner. Choose an incense scent just for this: after a while, your brain will make the connection between the scent and sleeping, helping you fall asleep. This also goes for essential oils or scented candles. Make sure to put out the candles before going to bed.
》 spreading incense smoke is also a way to get a little more relaxed before bed
》 talk to yourself. OUT LOUD. It may seem silly but this helped me a lot personally. You can do this in various ways:
> simply think out loud. Problems that seemed huge feel a little easier to deal with then.
> if you have a very multifaceted personality like me, you can reply to yourself. It's kinda funny to go from "emo thoughts" to "mom friend", which uplifts my mood a little.
> create a character to talk to. Make sure they're the caring and kind type though.
> talk to your deities if you believe in any.
》 keep a little journal on a cheap notebook. Scribble down how you feel, or doodle it. The less perfect it is, the more emotion it shows, so don't worry about it. Visualize all your frustration, your sadness, your anxiety going into that page. Now seal it: write a sigil on top of it, smear it with black ink, drip candle wax on it. Whichever works best for you.
》 make a little self care box and keep it next to your bed. You can put a journal in it, nice smelling things, anti stress objects, photos, letters of appreciation written by your friends, a plushie... anything
》 open a window and let the air clean itself. Look outside and let the wind blow on your face. Then, wash it. Light a candle and feel the warmth on your cheeks. Apply some earthy oils on your skin. You've just cleansed your face with the four elements!
》 meditate with a mantra. "I will be okay", "I'm not my mental illness", "It's just my disorder talking", "Being alive is enough", "I can learn to love myself" are some suggestions. Repeat it our loud or in your head while you take deep breaths. Doing 5 minutes of it is okay.
》 Crystals, dice, leaves, anything solid and smooth can become an anti stress ball.
》 read my post about ring magick ;)
》 keep yourself occupied. Read up on magickal stuff, or just an interest of yours. Givee that series you are interested in a try, even if it feels exhausting.
》 split your tasks into small steps and only think about those. Do as many as you can: you've done great. The rest can wait. You can write them down, fold the sheet of paper and put it in a jar along with some herbs, crystals and trinkets that make you feel happy. A jar of little accomplishments you can read when you feel really bad.
》 if you feel the urge to self harm, put some ice on your arm or wrap a rubberband around it, pull it and snap it against your arm. It will hurt, but at least it won't leave nasty scars. You can enchant the ice or band with the intent "help me overcome this". You can also write on yourself, with the least toxic pen you have, why you want to hurt yourself. Let the emotions out like that.
(If you couldn't stop the urge to self harm, remember to take care of the cuts. Disinfect them, wash them and put gauze around them. If you don't have the necessary items, you can place a tissue on the wounds and keep it in place with your hand or something else. As long as it doesn't cut off the circulation or hurt your skin.)
This is all I could think of. Thank you for reading and stay safe :).

Disposing of Spell Materials
sometimes after performing a spell, you find yourself wondering, hmm, what do i do with these ingredients? the way you clean up or put away your materials can be its own step in the ritual, and affect the spell. here are some suggestions for the different ways to end rituals or properly dispose of the materials

consider first:
📦keep it - consider if the spell seems like something you could ever possible need to reverse later. that love-attraction jar may invite people you don’t like, and need to be ended, but it’s more difficult without the original materials. keep the ingredients in a jar, box, or something, (maybe label it too) so you can easily nullify the spell if you need to.
✉wrap it up - in a jar or a pouch, if it is a spell you want to last a long time, gather the ingredients you won’t be reusing and keep them in a place you
🏺jar spells - just keep the materials in the sealed jar. this is the sort of spell that can be reused simply by shaking the jar, lighting a new candle for it or recharging its energy.
🔔cleanse and reuse - obviously you don’t want to throw your crystals or jars out after a single spell. separate the materials used and cleanse them individually, cutting the ties to the spell.
now what do i do with it?
🔥it’s been burned to ash - for banishing place it on the back doorstep and sweep it out into the wind. for releasing its energies and inviting influence, release the ashes into running water, given it is safe to return to nature (non glass, nonplastic nontoxic, biodegradable etc)
🕸bound objects - bury or keep in a box somewhere, burial for spells you will never remove, hiding for things you may undo one day.
🛡protective spells - best hung up or hidden in a corner of the house, or place over the front door of the residence.
☣non-biodegradable materials - if its something you can’t safely return to nature, and it can’t be reused because it was burned or broken, use the acting of burning or breaking to move the spell’s energies into the world. properly throw out or recycle the objects.
solitude tarot spread

this spread is used for people who just need some time alone. it helps you understand being alone and helps you to be at peace with yourself and your own mind.
card 1: why am i alone? this card can be used to tell people the root problem of something. if school or work life has burnt them out, if friends are being too clingy, why do you feel the need to be alone?
card 2: is it ok to be alone? sometimes, being alone causes us to feel lonely. sometimes, it helps us regenerate energy. this card does just that. it says what will happen as you‘re alone, and whether it‘s ok to be like that for a while.
card 3: clarity. draw this card and meditate on it. this card means a lot of things. who is there for you, the difference between being alone and being lonely, let it speak to you and tell you what it‘s trying to say.
card 4: getting back to others. we can‘t be alone forever. this card will tell you the best course of action to get back out into the world, and when.
card 5: ourselves. we are all alone sometimes. this card will hopefully connect you with all those who are alone as well. mediatate once more, and understand that none of us have to be truly alone. rethink about why you are alone.
card 6: solitude. this card respresents you, and your feelings about being alone. it represents a clear mind and unobstructed thinking.
sometimes decks will not do this spread! it requires a deep connection and it requires your deck to think outside the box, giving you the cards that don‘t necessarily mean one word answers, rather a range of information.
