Stop saying Sophie is a bad friend

She’s literally never had any friends before, so she doesn’t even know how to have friends, she’s supposed to be the savior of her world and fight bad guys, and she has a lot of trauma

How do you expect her to be a good friend-

“biana vacker is a lesbian.” i say into the mic.

everyone boos. they throw tomatoes. i begin to cry, until someone speaks.

“she’s right.” its shannon messenger.

also (sorry i’m like spamming this i just have SO much to say about the friendships/relationships in kotlc) i feel like none of sophie’s friendships/relationships with the boys are particularly healthy. besides her and tam, but thats only because they never talk.

sophie and dex are consistently toxic towards each other,

fitz and sophie is self explanatory,

sophie (without meaning to) has taken over keefe’s ENTIRE sense of self worth. (i feel like that is a consistency with his character, he always has someone he is putting all of himself to, before sophie it was fitz and before fitz it was his father.), disclaimer: i love sokeefe i just think keefe really needs to work on himself and his view of himself, and i think sophie can help him with that if she can FINALLY end the slowburn

grady always finds it difficult to let her to make her own decisions, and often pushes her away because of it. not to mention how mean he was to her in the first book. (like when he made her practice light leaping until she was EXHAUSTED and then got frustrated when she couldn’t do it on literally her first day of trying?)

and almost all of the boys in her friend group have been said to have a crush on her, which even if she isn’t said to have been bothered by it is probably horrible. i know dex’s crush on her made her uncomfortable, and with fitz she liked him back so she was excited, but keefe is her best friend, and even if she does end up feeling the same way, finding out your best friend likes you (and has for a really long time) could be a really confusing experience, especially for someone like her with little to no experience in dealing with/processing her feelings healthily.

i hope when/if she realizes her feelings she has someone to talk to about it and deal with it with. (hopefully biana because my girl needs more page time 🙁)
