Motivation for the Day
So
I am merely 20 years old and have already been through some serious sh*t, beaten several demons, won many wars. My opponent has been the greatest:
Myself.
And you know what? I won.
My wrists, my ankle, my side, they are all littered with scars - reminders of all the self-hatred I faced.
Because when I eventually came out if my shell and reached out to my friends? I found that they didn't care how thin / succesful / socially charming / whatever-standard-you-are-beating-yourself-up-over-trying-to-reach I was.
They were just happy to see me.
Because they missed me.
Because they were worried about me.
They missed the soul, not the body, not the mask that you and I try to perfect.
People always say things, like 'You are not alone' and the like, but you know what?
You really aren't.
And not just in the positive way. There are 7 billion of us on this Chuckforsaken Earth. There are others, many, many others struggling in the wake of one stereotype or other that was set by only a few and is considered the current trend.
Why shouldn't you get to be the one to be happy?
There is a light at the end of that fucking tunnel. You just have to realise that the darkness itself is only your own Demon, whispering lies.
