Okay MY OUTSIDERS OC. He’s really stupid and I love him
His name is Shaun “Reggie” Winston, YES he is Dallys little kid brother. BUTT he isn’t fully related, they got different mamas and that’s why Dal doesn’t really believe that Reggie is his brother 💀
People call him Reggie, because when they were itsy bitsy Reggie was really jelly because Dallas got nicknames and he didn’t. So he didn’t acknowledge anyone who didn’t call him Reggie (this bitch does NOT know how nicknames work 😭)
He and Dallas was close growing up, but once Dally went to jail at the age of ten they low-key fell apart, AND AS A DEFENSE MECHANISM REGGIES BRAIN COMPLETELY FORGOT WHO DALLY WAS AND JUST REMEMBERED HIS ACTIONS. Which made him want to look for this mysterious kind guy that was in his childhood but not anymore
He wants to be a doctor really badly and graduated high school at 13, and already went to community college at 15. Now he just volunteers until he turns 18 so universities will actually take him seriously and let him in their university (he already has scholarships lining up behind him)
He’s really odd in general, but you know. HES JUST A BOY!!

her name is Honda (yes, like the car) and she’s a greaser! she’s 18– turning 19 on september 14th!
more info +backstory under cut :)
she works at the dingo, mostly to protect the other girls that work there and occasionally break up fights (if she isn’t in them)
she moved to tulsa with her mother when she was 7 in 1955, and ended up neighbors with the curtis family! their mothers got along, so she met the boys by being invited over for playdates (and may or may not be the reason why ponyboy learned to run so fast due to her chasing him)
two-bit and steve were darry and soda’s friends back then, so she’d play with them occasionally as well
her mother died the day after she turned 18– and during her grieving period she relied heavily on mr. and mrs. curtis, but they ended up getting into a car crash only a couple months later.
both honda and the curtis brothers were hit really hard by their parents deaths and having no one else to rely on, so they ended up bonding a lot during this period
honda has respect for darry and how he took responsibility to care for the boys, and helps him occasionally even when she struggles to take care of her own situation
she cares for soda pony and johnny like her little brothers :)
she graduated from high school, but gave up going to college after her mom died
she actually was a surprisingly good student
hated seeing darry have to give up his dreams of college— tried to desperately work jobs to help them save but it was never enough
also cried with soda when they couldn’t buy mickey mouse
can often be found on shift at the dingo, working another job, or sleeping on the couch at the curtis house
she’d often roughhouse with the rest of the gang & join in rumbles
she, dally, and two-bit would go around doing stupid shit, but if they catcalled any girls she’d punch them
sometimes two-bit will ask her how to get with girls and she’ll just stare at him like 😐

she’s rather proud of the muscles she’s built up, though it does get her some weird looks sometimes
she’s friends with the other girls at the dingo because she takes care of them, sometimes she’ll go hang out with them because she’s worried about some guy picking on them (they just think she wants to hang out though)

bringing back an older headcanon of mine but the curtis parents recorded tape messages for their kids for every single milestone gif forbid anything were to happen to them, and they told the boys where they were. On the night they died Darry dug them up but never had the heart to play back the recordings. There was one for when Darry was supposed to graduate, one for Pony entering high school, one for Soda graduating, one for Pony’s sweet sixteen…and every time there’s a special event the boys listen to the recording and the other two support the one the recording is directed at
sometimes they all need to hear that their parents are proud of them. darry swore he’d never listen to the one made for him graduating college but he did when he was alone and had the biggest breakdown of his life

I remember my first playthrough of Mystic Messenger, and miraculously, I got Jaehee’s good end first try. (Jaehee is Baehee btw).

the loona situation
there are some things that i think need to be said in the wake of the dispatch chuu article, and that i haven't seen anyone else directly address.
tldr for those who didnt see: loona had a system with blockberry where they shared costs equally, but revenue 70-30 in bbc's favor. this means that if the cost was $100, and the revenue was $100, loona and bbc each paid $50, but bbc earned $70 and loona earned $30, so loona went $20 more in debt to bbc despite the project recouping all of its expenses. these numbers only get worse the higher the cost/revenue ratio is. loona even pays bbc if there is zero revenue, because they get loona's portion of the cost.
functionally, this means that loona stays in debt. forever. according to bbc's numbers, the loona members - even after all of loona's successes and the fact that it makes a net gain now - are all still around $150,000 in debt to the company after 5 years. this is in addition to the other abuses standard to the idol industry, like starvation and mental abuse.
what i want to talk about is this: a series of facts.
1. many of the girls' families were concerned about the promises bbc made to their trainees and thought loona was a scam at best and a trafficking scheme at worst.
2. yves was promised debut within weeks of joining bbc. olivia hye trained for one day. loona 1/3 was flown all over the world for teeny tiny teaser videos. all of this was pre-debut. many of them talk about it seeming too good to be true.
3. go won and olivia hye have admitted they were already starstruck by older members of loona like heejin before even considering joining bbc. they saw their ads at the bus stop on the way to school. they wanted badly to be friends with them.
4. all contracts are individual. any revenue from one girl was given solely to her and applied solely to her own debt.
4a. chuu is the only member who's escaped her trainee debt. her revenue was not applied to anyone else's debts.
6. when a member is in debt to the company at the end of her contract, she can be compelled to renew to pay it back.
7. loona had the most expensive predebut in kpop history.
8. of the 12 members, only haseul, vivi, jinsoul, and yves were over south korea's age of majority — 19 in international age — when they debuted.
8a. of these 4, only vivi, jinsoul, and yves were 20. haseul had turned 19 less than four months ago. 9. kim lip was 18 when she debuted with 'eclipse.' chuu was 18 when she debuted with 'heart attack.' choerry was 17 when she debuted with 'love cherry motion.' go won was 17 when she debuted with 'one and only.' hyunjin was 16 when she debuted with 'around you.' olivia hye was 16 when she debuted with 'egoist.' heejin was 15 when she debuted with 'vivid.'

sure, some cinemas show subtitles but what if
when you enter they give you a pair of headphones that link to a dub of the movie that matches the language you understand?
sure subtitles are cheaper and work just fine but it would be cool, right?
