Mermay #20 - Hakee Second in the series of old characters from a mer RP, there’s this thing. From the same tribe as Tirak, a small girl about the age of six who is an albino shark mer and wanders about like a ghost. They say she’s an outcast, but she gets along fairly well for her status.

A noodle I made two days ago. Was gonna submit it, but I was kinda on a social media fast, so I decided to wait until I’d finished that. I made this out of a color palette (at least originally before I started messing it) that I’d made accidentally when trying to paint bucket over a colourpod.com palette with a palette from one of those dA color scheme meme things (scheme meme... hehe that rhymes) because I thought I’d help me get inspiration better just to be looking at the colors by themselves instead of the whole rest of the meme and other colors around it. So I got halfway through that before I realized ... hey, this is a pretty nice color palette! Of course it’s all changed now since I messed with darkening/lightening it so there’s lighter yellows and more orange involved to give it more contrast, but the palette itself was pretty cool! Definitely wasn’t dark enough though. Left my original noodle looking kinda chalky. But anyways! Here it is. If anyone would like to try out the palette I (partially) used to make this, it’s:

And yeah, it’s kinda repetitive with both ends being close together in color... but if I were to title it, maybe I’d call it... hm... Well, the original title of the palette was Angelic, and it still kinda looks like that to me? I mean, the last three colors are from Angelic, the first two are from the dA color palette. But uh... I dunno. I don’t have a better title XD; And ‘Angelic’ doesn’t exactly fit Nola’s personality, just her blonde hair and how mono-yellow this painting is XD but uh... Yeah I dunno I can’t think of any other better title for it than that. Eh well. Anyways here it is, finally some art after a while right? XD I’m working on something else that was supposed to be a quick color key but it turned into a big thing... I might post it if I ever finish it! It’s currently in stasis on PS XD;

Mermay #23 - Moon Jellyfish Mer Right on track today. Starting sketching this one up last night around midnight and all finished today. Yaay~ XD It feels good to be caught up and not have like 4-5 of these hanging over me XD Soo yeah. I got inspired looking at jellyfish and other jellyfish mers peeps have done via google images and decided to draw one myself! I really liked how some people made the top jelly bit a hat and some people did both hat and bottom half so I figured why not? Now she’s kind of a... double jelly thing but I dunno I’m kinda satisfied with how it came out. XD

YEAHHH WHOO!! Reached the mark prematurely last time but the other two were bots so I blocked them and that means I didn’t actually reach 50 (I think possibly real?) people following me until just now~ 8D Hello all! Thank you for joining me~ And sorry I haven’t posted anything since the end of May >x> I should throw some art together to put up so ya’ll aren’t just starin at nothing over here. XD I got a few sketches if I organized them maybe I could post e3e That might be a start to kick-starting my re-activity. XD I dunno. Mermay #25 - Brittani Mer Another one from the same band of misfit mers as Finny, this is Brittani. She has Amazon boto and gray seal markings ordinarily, but here’s her as an actual mer because it’s Mermay. XD She was fun to do. I’m glad her shirt came out pretty well too, considering I made it blue at first and then changed it back to her more iconic purple. XD

Can I also just say it makes me incredibly happy I’m getting real followers from this Mermay adventure and not just bots? Like... Most of the time I just get bot follows and it’s usually just my friends who follow my blog so ;_; Thank you. I love all of you. I’d welcome all of you but that’d be a really long post so I hope you know who you are random followers I’ve never spoken to before!
