Lucifer Morningstar

Lucifer Morningstar, the Devil, they call

from the grace of God, did he fall

or so they say, don’t know whether the story’s true or not

many scholars, writers and poets haven’t forgot

for he’s interpreted in many art, literature or stories of glory and shame

or a Faustus contract set for a sealed path to fame

they called the Devil the father of lies

but for someone whose sin is meant to be pride, lying wouldn’t be so wise

from the New Testament to Milton’s Paradise Lost

the devil’s been portrayed but at what cost?

for he’s supposed to be evil and a sinner

how many consider him to be the winner?

yes, it’s true he lead a rebellion in his arrogance

dismissing his loyalty and his elegance

but it was a mistake he probably realised ages ago

how many consider him to be a foe?

he’s the one who dwells with the damned souls

every soul full of misery and guilt he punishes and consoles

i have never met the devil, nor have you

wouldn’t know what he is like or have a clue

but for what i have perceived, he’s just a wayward son, with mischief under his sleeve

just a fallen angel waiting to be redeemed

the one who fell and the one who’ll rise

Lucifer Morningstar, the Lightbringer, touching the skies

Letter - 14.11.23

Dear Kashika, I do not know what my intent is in writing this to you but feels cathartic enough, mind you, I too am a non-writing writer. You do not wish to talk and I no longer wish to find the reason why, for a mystery to be, has a way of driving people mad. I don't care for you so little that you, this, coming to an impasse would make a difference but I also don't know you well enough for it to affect me. Maybe the reason I'm writing to you, even after all these months, is because a month of me knowing or at least getting to know you has impacted me to an unfamiliar degree. Do I miss you or your thoughts? I do not know, if it's the latter, even the ones already thought before, it would not be fair to you. If it's the former, well, I think I will. What once was a source of conversation is now devoid of it, the silence is noticeable, can't seem to help it. A long time ago, I decided not to be a ghost-writer for anyone's story, in fairness to that, I can't be the judge of how all of this plays out. To restore the friendship is at your discretion, otherwise, it's just one less sentient bobblehead in my life, and that's okay too. Yes, I did like you, don't know anymore, but it had to be out since people do not speak on my behalf. If the whole thing about you living in 'transitional states' is true then you will do great things. I suppose there is more to say but nothing at the moment. Godspeed, Karman
