This our trip to the top of Harder Kulm, the mountain we later climbed in Interlaken. This horrifying method of transportation is called a funicular, which is essentially an incredibly steep train. If anything went wrong, we'd have plummeted to our deaths, but at least the view was nice!

London has the world’s only sideways art replica somethingorother of flowers, which sounds stupid until you look at the picture. They surprisingly let the public walk right up to it and touch it. I was thoroughly impressed, other than the few bald patches--surprising, since Britain's known for its impeccable lawns. The mural was on display next to Trafalgar Square. We walked by a "children's swimming pool," which I thought looked more like a concentration camp than a nice recreation area. Continuing on, we encountered an area which I like to call "Picnic Stonehenge." There were about 12 tables in the clearing, and some of the stones had fallen off. Of course, we took that opportunity to dance on the tables.

Spain's older population loves to go for walks in the late afternoon and on Sunday mornings. This past sunday, I encountered this pair chatting by the ocean. In Basque. In berets.

The tradition lives on.
