NingXian Omegaverse AU Where Wen Ning Was Wei Wuxian’s Worshipful Alpha Before Lan Wangji

I dropped this idea in the GDC Discord chat already, but I’ll drop it here, too.

There’s just something appealing about such a gentle man treating his love with considerable care and reverence. Imagine it: Wen Ning pampering his pregnant spouse with what little resources are available to him in their situation, Wen Ning going absolutely crazy the day of their son’s birth but doing his best to be in control; Wen Ning crying like a baby when the actual baby is born, and Wei Wuxian laughing good-heartedly. 

Of course, what’s an AU like this without a little bit of tragedy? 

Only three years after Wen Yuan is born, his mother is defeated atop Luanzang Hill, his family’s home, and his father is...of unknown identity. 

The Gusu Lan sect, being the compassionate sect that they are, then takes the child under their wing, and he’s renamed Lan Yuan. 

Today, he’s called Lan Sizhui, and little does he know that he’s already been reunited with his mother after the incident at Mo Village. 

I posted another picture just like this, but I’ve colored it! I think Hashirama looks a little too light in the mane, but it’s a WIP. I’m really proud of how Mito turned out, and I’m in love with the unicorn magic I gave her. Izuna was only a struggle in terms of getting his mane color right. I didn’t want it to be an exact copy of Madara’s, but I don’t know if I achieved what I set out to do. He kinda looks like a bat pony with that palette. 

Anyway, here are their ponysona names:

Hashirama is (still) Hashirama Tobirama is (still) Tobirama Mito is Sea Flurry Izuna is Secretariat and Madara is Man O’ War

Originally, Madara, Izuna, and the rest of the “Flaming Fan herd” were all gonna have names relating to fire. For instance, Madara was initially “Brimstone Fire,” but when I saw the name Man O’ War, I couldn’t help but think, Perfect. Going with the racehorse theme at that point, I decided Izuna should match by being Secretariat. The thing is, though, I think they’re gonna be the only two with racehorse names. Also, Hashirama and Tobirama aren’t changed because they’re an entirely different race from Mito, Madara, and Izuna.

Fake Kakashi: You seriously never noticed? Hey, hats off to you for not seeing clan.

Gai: All right then, "Kakashi." Ahhh, why don't you tell me about that sale that you made yesterday?

Fake Kakashi: Uh, the Hidden Cloud Village? Sold them 10 sets of ninja weapons. Or were you talking about the Hidden Mist, because I didn't close that one yet, but I'm hoping I've got a voicemail from Ao waiting for me.

Gai: How did you know? No! No, no! That is sensitive information only for employees, not outsiders!

Fake Kakashi: Gai, cut it out, I'm trying to work.
