so yk dbd? how all the killers are like. dragged into the dimension and forced to stay there? that's essentially what happened to the monsters except its not permanent

the reason it's called pillar chase [and the reason that dude at the shop forgot the name says "have fun chasing pillars] is because the survivors are the pillars. It's all from the monsters POV, they need to kill, to hunt to get free. The more pillars they kill the higher the chance of them leaving is [hence the leveling only being for the monsters]

I like to think the campfire outside the cabin is there they would be if the lobby was bigger, just...staying there. Either that, or they would be in the cage(s) inside the cabin [since there's a cage in the basement area], I like to assume separated from the pillars as to not cause harm outside a match. The survivors only "respawn" if they die inside a match, if they die OUTSIDE a match....well, RIP. also, since there's no kitchen areas, I like to think the reason the monsters so often have kill animations with them biting/eating you is because you are the ONLY food they have. I mean, put the campfire to good use right? Maybe the pillars are the same, or maybe they don't feel hunger? Maybe they get food given to them by whatever cruel God is in charge of the whole thing, who knows.

This is also why I feel the monsters are more "aggressive" [sometimes] than their original counterparts. Like for example, Uncle samsonite- he's not THAT brutal in the series, yes he still kills but he just seems more desperate in the game? And also baldi as another example, but not as much [my opinion tho].

Meanwhile, on the other side of the coin, monsters like the sonic EXE variants [forgot their names besides 2017x but I don't know much about them all] and MX seem to LOVE the murder given how enthusiastic they seem.

The God of the game seems to favor the pillars, though, given how many items spawn in maps [and the fact you can actively buy items before hand, same with upgrades]. They can't truly die in a match, either.

If the monsters aren't in cages, and are in the forest/at the campfire, there HAS to be some kind of barrier in place to prevent them from getting inside and brutally murdering all the pillars. Given how there's no food for the monsters, not really a proper "resting place", etc the pillars are DEFINITELY favored.

It could also be a situation where the monsters ARE the pillars simultaneously, like the actual gameplay? Like, one turns into a monster or something, but that's more just gameplay imo so I'm not sure

Honestly I wish we got more lore in PC2/PC because the games just so interesting, what if one day we get a story mode? I'd KILL for it honestly
