It's a good day for Vi, tiring but good. A new office opened up a few weeks ago and ever since, Vi's been on fire. She's always been proud of her parking spot, the best one in the lot, (yeah she fist-fought three different people for it, so what?) Her open window facing the front so they could see her getting busy. Lunch rush is amazing, it's chaos but it's amazing, the only thing that gets her blood pumping more is MMA. Vi loves it, the oil popping in her ears, the steam and the smell. And it's hers, no dashing across the kitchen because the Head Chef keeps the fucking sauce on the other side of the kitchen, no getting on her tip toes to reach the pans because everyone she works with is a giant apparently. It's her space and everything is arranged in a way that makes sense and she doesn't need to edge around Rhonda and risk getting into an argument, it's all hers.

maybe i have “family issues” and maybe i “want someone to love me after seeing all my flaws” and maybe i “want to be forgiven for lashing out when i feel too pressured” and maybe i have “older sibling” trauma and maybe whatever but iF JINX AND VI DONT GET A HAPPY ENDING NOTHING MATTERS TO ME. JAYCE AND VIKTOR DIVORE ERA? BORING. CAITLYN AND VI GIRLFRIENDS? FOR CASUAL VIEWERS. I NEED THESE TWO SISTERS TO TELL EACH OTHER THEY LOVE EACH OTHER. I NEED THEM TO HUG AGAIN. I NEED VI TO HOLD JINX’S FACE IN HER HANDS AND TELL HER THAT SHE WAS COMING BACK FOR HER. THAT SHE WAS ALWAYS COMING BACK FOR HER. I NEED JINX TO TELL VI THAT THEYRE FAMILY. I NEED THEM TO HEAL TOGETHER. I WANT THEM TO LIVE TOGETHER. TO HAVE HOUSEPLANTS THAT VI ALMOST KILLS AND JINX HAS TO KEEP ALIVE. I WANT JINX TO LEAVE CONTRAPTIONS AND EXPERIMENTS AROUND THE HOUSE AND I WANT HER TO FALL ASLEEP WORKING ON THEM AND I WANT VI TO COME AND PICK HER UP AND PUT HER IN BED. I WANT HER TO SMILE SOFTLY AS SHE WATCHES JINX FEEL SAFE IN THEIR HOME. I WANT JINX TO WATCH VI GO ON A DATE WITH CAITLYN AND I WANT VI TO TELL HER THAT NO MATTER WHAT SHE WILL ALWAYS MATTER. I WANT JINX TO NOD AND SCOFF AND TELL HER TO USE PROTECTION OR SOMETHING STUPID LIKE THAT. I WANT THEM TO BE SISTERS. I WANT THEM TO BE FAMILY. I WANT THEM TO BE SAFE. I WANT VI TO TELL JINX THAT SHE’LL CALL HER WHATEVER SHE PREFERS BUT MAKE SURE SHE KNOWS THAT SHE NEVER SHOULD HAVE SAID WHAT SHE SAID. AND TELL HER THAT SHELL LOVE HER IF SHES POWDER OR JINX OR SOMETHING ELSE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I WANT JINX TO TELL VI THAT SHE JUST WANTED HER SISTER. I WANT JINX TO TELL VI THAT SHE KNOWS SHE WAS DOING HER BEST AND THAT SHE WAS JUST A KID WHO HAD TO GROW UP TOO FAST. I WANT THEM TO HELP EACH OTHER. I WANT THEM TO GROW TOGETHER. I WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY AND TO BE A FAMILY AND I WANT THEM TO BE ABLE TO JOKE WITH EACH OTHER AND TO LAUGH AND TO CRY AND TO FORGIVE.

Ok, so a lot of ppl make fun of Jinx being jealous over Cait bcos it seems that like a dummy she misunderstands that they’re girlfriends and that she, as a sister, is not getting replaced by a girlfriend.

But the thing is she IS getting replaced. 

When you think about it in terms of how unusual and unfair to Vi the situation is that she’s like 5 years older and yet she’s burdened with the full responsibility of caring for a mentally ill sibling, well- that could be a job for life. If Jinx took Vi on her offer to run away they’d have no one but each other, they’d co-habit and Vi’s whole attention would be consumed by managing/helping Jinx. Being Jinx’s caretaker is a full-time job and it was a full time job when she was Powder too. You don’t just stop being a parent. 

Caitlyn represents Vi building her own life separate from Jinx, her younger sibling, like ppl in early 20s do. She’s possessive and jealous over Vi the same way kids don’t like their new step-parents or are jealous over other siblings receiving attention from their parents. Jinx is extremely needy, and you can see in how she doesn’t care about making friends and how she doesn’t care about romance (possibly ignores/is oblivious to Ekko’s crush) that she’s not in a mental state where she wants to mature and grow up. As a neurodivergent child she actually always needed more time to grow up than others, but she was forced to grow up too fast and it’s always through these really traumatizing experiences. Growing up is an extremely painful process for Jinx and so she holds onto being a child as much as she can, it seems. She wants and needs a caretaker still, and Vi picking an enforcer girlfriends isn’t even just about needing to share, it’s potentially building a life that Jinx can’t be a part of.

Hence, ‘replacing’ but not in the sense that Cait is gonna be Vi’s new sister but that she’s getting a new life, one where she doesn’t need Jinx anymore and will abandon her parental duties towards her, smth that Jinx desperately needs and relies on daily cos she’s still a teenager, and which is ultimately exactly what happens.

Holding on hope that caitvi will show up in Valoran Town and sister Jinx like no sister has ever sisterd before in the history of sistering
