You have him down character wise 100% cause he will sooner chop his arm off to let his lil human sleep peacefully than risk waking them up

Though for an out of vibe statement, Ofius is the first character of mine that comes to mind that would so willingly submit to self mutilation for his partner. Not saying no one else would but he wouldn't even give himself a half second to hesitate before tearing into his own body. So enjoy that...

Ofius stares down at you, his expression unchanging from the endeared gaze he's has on you for the last hour and half.

His hand was splayed upright on the table, stretched out slightly for his comfort originally when you wandered over, sat in his palm, and as if the weight of the earth held him down he hasn't moved since.

Originally, you'd sat in his palm, leaning into the gentle touch of his fingers that so carefully curled up to hold you as best as Ofius could. His head resting in his free hand as he watched you, and talked on and on about a new idea you had, something that always delighted the giant to hear.

But eventually you laid back while conversing, and then you were curling up, closing your eyes.... Now you'd been fast asleep for some time, gripping onto the base of his thumb while resting your head against that part of his palm as it was the softest with the most give.

Ofius wondered if you could feel his heartbeat. The thought soothing his own heart. He just watched you.

Was his arm numb? Yes. Was it growing uncomfortable? For the last half hour. Did he have any plans on moving you? He'd sooner die, actually.

The giant only let out a quiet sigh, a small smile on his face as he tried to maneuver himself without moving the hand you're sleeping on, and rest his head on his free arm. Settling down right next to where you are so he can hear the faintest rhythm of a human heartbeat slowly sleeping away.

As long as you were comfortable, Ofius could find comfort and settle in for the night. He has a feeling you'd be asleep until sunrise at least anyway, so he looked over to you, admiring and taking in your precious appearance one more time before closing his eyes to sleep and bidding you an almost silent,

"Goodnight, little love."
