I will always be thinking about that one bit in the opening of under the red hood animated movie where Jason after fighting so hard to make his way to the warehouse door only to find it locked hears the ticking sound and looks over to see the bomb seconds away from detonating and instead of fear or anger or any other panic he looks calm in the final seconds Jason accepts he will die

adding in- Bruce seeing this and just seeing his first kid become somewhat of a living legacy amongst all his kids in their habits, in their opinions, in their choices.

some of the habits different robins didnt realize came from Dick:

-Jason has kept the same stretching routine this whole time, even Dick has changed his, but Jason does the one that dick used to do in preparation for his circus act.

-When Tim taps his feet while writing out a report, he always taps out the same rhythm, the same one Dick used to do when he had to sit for long periods of time.

-Everytime Steph ties up her hair she uses a blue hair tie, they were the only ones around in the batcave when she needed one and then it became tradition for her. Dick used blue ones when he had longer hair because its his favorite color.

-Damian always rolls his right shoulder when hes standing around, he doesn't know why he does it or even notices that he does it. Dick injured his right shoulder years ago and it always needs to be stretched out or it gets stiff.

anyways, a young robin Jason who shows everyone the fun flips and tricks his older brother taught him

Oh wait but also... Dick forgetting to teach Jason basic things like a somersault or a cartwheel so like yeah Jason can do a lot of crazy flips but dont ask him to do a cartwheel.

i close my eyes when i see RHATO hate because i know their right for it but after reading RHATO ive completely rewritten it in my head because i think if it was better jason, roy n kori would be so cool together and im delusional.

one of my fav things in fandom is when everyone latches onto a specific feature of a character despite it not being on the character in a solid amount of their adaptations

like for example jason todds white streak??? like every single fan artist gives it to him but its not super prevalent in most comics

I firmly believe every one of the bats uses Bruce's shirts for pajamas

he never notices them going missing because why would he? and they are all perfectly big and warm and smell nice....

Maybe far, far in the future when all the bats are having some sort of sleepover in the manor he looks around when everyones changed into their jammies and thinks about how he had a shirt just like that.

i just got home from being a counselor at a marching band camp, this is what sections various bats would be in.

Jason- low reeds, specifically tenor sax (this could be my low reeds bias showing)

Dick- trumpets (or even a trombone maybe?)

Damian- flutes

Steph- low brass, possibly sousaphones

Tim- clarinets

Cass- either color guard or like weirdly i get a front ensemble/pit vibe

Duke- i can see drum line? like quads

Barbara- drum major but previously a flute

feel free to add more to this or even tell me if you get different instrument vibes then i do!
