The museum was lively, the crowd bustling and the warmth of the day had everyone in excitement, ready to get out of the house and into the great big world. Your eyes sat still on the painting however despite the many bodies that passed you, vivid colors of pleated skirts, leather jackets and you could even spot a red trench coat in the corner of your eyes.

Many eyes traveled to your figure as well, still as a lily pond on a foggy morning, filled with the same beautiful, yet haunted features. You were there but many wondered if you really truly were, mentally speaking. Yet you could only take in the the paintings details, it was hard to not reminiscence your life. Some say when on the doors of death, you could vividly see it pass by. Was that what this felt like? You weren’t anywhere near death. 

Yet looking at beautiful painting, you couldn’t help but wonder. It wasn’t near as famous as some in this museum, but Fallen Angel, would always be your favorite. Perhaps because you too, were also a fallen angel, you and this painting were one in the same.
