Update about Updates
So the 3D thing that I was doing for college is finished. Take a look:

It's not perfect, it kinda looks like a messed up homemade flan, but I'm happy with it. I also did other stuff and I hope I get a good grade out of it.
Updates on Hello World will continue, of course. The problem is that being consistent with it won't be easy since college takes up most of my attention.
For Advaced Development Class they got me doing a document about a game idea that I'll have to submit next week. And then I'll have to turn that into a working prototype for the final.
Here's a little spaceship sprite that I made for it:

I'll keep you updated on it aswell. Might even put it on my itchio page if it ends up being kinda playable.
Honestly, for the time being, my performance in college this year hasn't been half bad. I haven't crash and burn yet. That has to mean something.
Also have been doing a little bit of yoga each night. Just wanted to let you know.
That's it for now. I'll try having something ready for next wednesday. See you next time!

Two shots from the game's beginning "cutscene".
both depict Beazley and Friendship travelling through space and arriving on earth.

When an important character is presented in the game, a "Splash Screen" of that character will be shown to the player.
I got the idea of using "Splash Screens" from comic books. Sometimes in comics, characters are presented with a splash page.
This right here is a Splash Screen of Save Cat.
(damn. it's thursday already)

Portraits of some of the townsfolk.
I might change them or add more detail, though I'm not sure if I'll keep trying to add a light source and shadows to them since I'm not really good at it.

I ran into a little conundrum with Hello World, so today I'll give you a little update on my Advanced Development class project. Now titled: Earth Grieve.
As you can see by the gif above, The spaceship can freely move in 8 directions and can shoot bullets straight forwards.
Now, the thing with Hello World is that I'm having a little problem making the HUD work. Which then make me start questioning if I even need one in the first place. Cause if I want to display how many bliss points the player has, I could just use the stats menu that's already built in the engine. So now I'm wondering if I should delete the HUD.
I'll let you know what decision I took next Wednesday.
Going to be busy this July
First of all, a little update on Earth Grieve:

I added a score, experimented with paths for the enemies and gave the spaceship a sword. That's about it. I'll be presenting this prototype on class tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get a good grade out of it.
I would like to make a complete game out of Earth Grieve, but that will have to wait for now.
As for Hello World, I don't think I'll be able to post many updates this next month since I'm going to be busy. I entered this thing called Art Fight (google it), which sounded really fun to me. So now I'll spend this july just drawing stuff and use it as an excuse to practice.
See you in a month!
