If even the writers for Marvel and DC can not accurately write the characters and still get hired to do more work for Marvel and DC, then I think you will be fine, the only thing you need to worry about is keeping the characters consistent throughout your story, and no one (whose opinion is worth listening to) will care if the characters are inaccurate, as long as you are consistent in characterisation (and tag appropriately) You Will Be Fine
