ive been gone about ⏃ month due to ⏃ lot of stuff occupying my time (school, events, chatting with friends, etc.)

this means ofc that ⟟ wont be as active as ⟟ was, but ill try my best :)

⏃ lot of my time has been dedicated to school and school related events (⟟ play an instrument) and also ⟟ love to call up my friends and play splatoon and that takes up almost all of my free time 😅 still loving spamton tho!!!

ik this is ⏃ spamton blog but this literally has nothing to do with deltarune but splatoon instead

oh this reminds me of early chapter 2 where there was this glitch in the spamton neo fight where if it was just ralsei alive he didnt get the "snapped desperately" flavor text and the fandom went CRAZY (admittedly ⟟ did too but shhhh) just to find out it was an error toby made and it got fixed later

also another one where ⟟ could be wrong about this but there was some text in the spamton neo fight that only showed during snowgrave, but it was ⏃ glitch and toby made sure to correct it to match the normal route too (the text in the cool special attack he does)

Hopping onto what darkangel said about dumb thoughts about Deltarune, do you think Toby Fox ever imagined or planned out the Blue Addison like he did? Just on the fact that they're blue.

Blue Addison has like, one line of dialogue that people have taken, and fans have made them primarily the most nice and sympathetic towards Spamton. But also, in contrast to the other Addisons who have warm colors, Blue Addison is well. Blue. A color that a lot people associate with sadness and grief.

It makes for some awesome fanfics and fanart but I can't help but wonder if that color choice by Toby was intentional, lmfao. <3

honestly i've assumed it's a fandom color bias with blue characters expressing grief (I'll admit I fell into this trap just a bit with my own blue addison interp but it is a great observation)

it's interesting to think about, being a blue addison is the last one you talk to in the spamton-backstory-exposition-line, and who gives the (in my opinion) most jarring end-all line to a build up that is spamton's story. It's a great, dramatic line, and the mention of 'garbage noise' is one of our first clues to what's going on with Kris's cell in the dark world.

With fanfic making the blue addison the most sympathetic, I do think that ending line does portray a lot of regret just based on its wording, but you could say the same with the other addisons' lines. All of them seem to have the same, uniform hostility towards spamton in cyber city, but in the garbage zone is where things change in all of them too. Like, if you swapped out the addisons delivering that line, I don't think anything would change due to the fact they're pretty much all the same character, which i do think was intentional because that makes spamton's story of standing out and separating himself from the addisons that much more impactful.

overall i don't think colors play a part in it canon-wise. i think the addisons were designed that way to match the aesthetic of cyber city (which is primarily blues, pinks, and yellows) rather than something more in-depth. with that said, we love our background characters and the fun of fanfic/fanart is bringing a little bit of a spotlight to those who i don't think were intended to have a spotlight in the first place

toby fox is so smart about the details in ut/dr that if toby fox were to put "removed taxes" in the patch notes somewhere, the whole fanbase would search every pixel and line of code for some evidence of taxes 😭

I need everyone to understand why spamton was the justice soul. I need everyone to understand that he has determination and it's amazing and terrifying to see. I need everyone to see that justice isn't always about doing the right thing, but rather making things fair. I need everyone to see that once again, determination was never about being good, but just about seeing things through. I need everyone to see that a man determined to show justice to the people he resents is meant to elicit fear.

⟟ just gotta say you are so right about spamton not using his full power. something tells me that because hes aware of the fact that hes only just spam email that means he learned about some game breaking stuff. the healing ability, the sell being replaced with buy more, the whole enraged sneo that does more damage, etc. these are all great points to prove he has more power than he lets on. for ⏃ little trash guy, he has more power than you think. theres more proof like in the snowgrave route, he makes kris help him by selling them that ring. first off whered he get it from??? also how he invades the mansion after kris makes noelle freeze all those darkners. like hes powerful enough to put HIMSELF into the sneo body and in an instant takes over the entire mansion, putting his face on the paintings, the whole pipis maze thing, even raising his own defense mid battle. that some thing to flex ⟟ tell you

⟟ FORGOT TO MENTION spamtons shop wares arent what they look like because he edited the attk and def values and made them insanely high then called it something else entirely. like NO ONE ELSE does that in game. + the costs of those items fluctuate twice per second (or so)

Isn't it weird he's aware we exist? Not like Chara, where it's like a separate character, but US. The player. He's aware of how many of us interact with this game. And he's?? Chill about it?? He loves the attention and that's about it. How crazy is that?

It kinda supports an idea I've had for a while about how Jevil is ALL about breaking the 4th wall, but spamton is more subtle about it. He knows it exists, and he messes with it a bit, but not enough to make people think he's completely gone like jevil. Like in his shop, where he removes the sell option and replaces it with another buy option.

Also I feel like people still low-ball how powerful spamton really is. Like... a lot. He can kill frisk in one hit up until like... level 8? Something like that. He can heal himself in battle, which is INCREDIBLE. We've only seen mandatory action enemies do that!! Hell, we haven't even gotten into sneo yet. I've seen so many people say his fight is underwhelming, but never stop to think he wasn’t using his full power. Ever. Not in the normal route, nor the snow grave route. We get a TASTE of what it could be in his enraged form, and it's terrifying.

He's full of scary damage but he's just not violent enough to use it. Also he implies when you try to fight him that he's let people beat him up for money and boy does that make me sad!
